SubscribeThe Presbyterian-commit managed to positively affect the game even with her three-point shot not falling. Southards collected 7 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal in a 60-25 win over Towns County. Ellie supplied physical defense inside and did a nice job on the glass, collecting a putback during a quick third quarter flurry. Southards converted with her left hand up close and made good decisions on the perimeter as a passer.

Jacie McCall

Jacie continues to see more and more minutes each season. The softball standout drilled a three and knocked down a floater. McCall added keen effort defensively, guarding with agility and attacking rebounds confidently. Jacie finished with 5 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals.
I like the raw athleticism of Beaver. She runs the floor well and is a quick explosive leaper. Improving her ball handling will help her get to the basket easier. Keeping a low dribble will eliminate turnovers. Kaleigh sank a baseline jumper en route to finishing with 4 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals.
The UNC Greensboro volleyball-commit has been one of the best rebounders in Georgia since her freshman year. The long-armed springy forward reaches caroms before anyone else. Quick off her feet, Allie excels at high-pointing the ball. She knows her role and plays it perfectly. Allie posted 2 points, 15 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 1 block in River Ridge’s 56-46 win over Langston Hughes.
With major minutes in front of her, Kyla has done everything possible to earn her place in the River Ridge circle of trust. The lefty found herself in the right place at the right time throughout Wednesday night, sneaking in countless times to earn second chance opportunities. Kyla compiled 5 points, 10 rebounds and 1 steal.
Roberson has shown throughout her early career her ability to make an impact without needing to score consistently. The defensive ace did it again, posting 6 points, 1 rebound, 4 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks. She scored on a pretty step-thru move and a scoop layup, showcasing her offensive skill. Defensively she drew the task of guarding the Panthers’ shifty backcourt.

provided Langston Hughes with a shot in the arm. The Westlake transfer was aggressive with the ball in her hands, penetrating the defense to draw fouls. Givens went 5-6 from the line while mixing in a floater and a three-pointer. Destiny created offense for others as well, finishing with 10 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block.
The Clayton State-commit is a smooth athlete that likes to slash to the hoop. Kyla turns corners well and gets momentum as a downhill attacker. She has a good future as a drive and kick playmaker. Greene has the size and strength to help defend all across the perimeter. Kyla tallied 8 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
