Later tonight I'll be heading to Sand Springs to catch the opening game of the season for the Sandites as they take on possibly the best team in the state, Edmond Memorial. It won't be an easy task, especially with a team not at full health, but when everything is back to normal in a few weeks, look out. Sand Springs has a lot of talent, senior leadership, a big-time transfer, and is most likely going to surprise a lot of people again this year.

Her on-ball defense at the Point Guard position is a tone setter for everything the team does and is going to do this season. She is tenacious and her quick hands lead to a lot of turnovers for her opponents. She is lightning quick getting down the floor and does a great job of finishing at the rim and playing through contact. Kauri has been First Team at PGH events with her AAU squad and her leadership is second to none. Look for big things from this senior in her final season.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["310153"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Hope is a junior that has been working her way up the 2025 rankings for a while now. With her move from Claremore and a bigger role in Coach Berry's offensive plans, expect Bump to take an even bigger jump prior to her senior year. Though she didn't play at the scrimmage I attended, I know Hope's game very well from previous PGH events. She is a tremendous passer and defender who goes all out, all the time. She is a hard-nosed hustler who can shoot the ball from long and midrange and finishes strong when driving to the rim. She is an intelligent athlete who is most definitely going to be a college player. Sand Springs is going to be a much better team with her onboard.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["640697"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"I didn't get to see Taiona play at u0022The Last Finaleu0022 either, so my guess would be that she's also one of the injured players for the Sandites. That is very unfortunate since Yonnie is one of the hardest working players around. She is an absolute gym rat and has elevated herself from a pretty good player to a genuine college prospect who is now committed to NEO Au0026amp;M. It will be great to see her back on the court with her silky handles and outstanding defensive work-ethic. She is a great shooter and another player who does every little thing that a coach could possibly ask for from a player.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["781773"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Yet another player that I did not see play last week, it's becoming more and more evident why Coach Berry was interested in me seeing his team in a few weeks when they are back to full strength. Having evaluated Kiaryn before, I can tell you that what the Sandites will miss while she is down is her scoring ability. She has tremendous hands and does a great job of cutting to the basket, receiving the ball, and finishing. She can shoot it, too. But, as a cutter, she is special. Another senior for the Sandites who is raking in the offers, she is a prospect who makes this team u0022can't missu0022 when she is on the floor.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":4,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6566531a7f784"} /-->

Tay'Ja Butler | 5-7 CG | 2025 - Got better and better just over the course of the scrimmage. Good length. Fast and quick.

Tianna Butler | 6-0 F | 2027 - Six-foot freshman is going to be a big deal in the future. Tall, long, and can shoot it!
