We head to Central Jersey, the most stacked region of the state when looking at these updated rankings because five of the top six seniors in NJ are from Central Jersey alone, not including the rest of the bunch. Here are the top five seniors in Central Jersey.
No. 1: Mikayla Blakes Mikayla Blakes 5'8" | SG Rutgers Prep | 2024 State NJ – Rutgers Prep (No. 1 overall)
The new No. 1 prospect in the senior class, a top five prospect in the state and the top shooting guard in this class is also, not surprisingly, the top senior prospect in Central Jersey. Up in Somerset County are the Argos, led by a fantastic player in Blakes, a future Power Five player no doubt, and a jack of all trades on the floor. She’s as well-rounded a guard as they come, and that level of success comes with a wild amount of leadership skills and confidence, confidence that goes off the charts.
No. 2: Kiyomi McMiller Kiyomi McMiller 5'8" | PG Life Center Academy | 2024 State NJ – Life Center Academy (No. 2 overall)
McMiller enters this list as the No. 2 player while also being the No. 2 overall player in the state. LCA, located in the northern part of Burlington County, is definitely a Central Jersey commodity to us, and McMiller has made herself more than comfortable at this program. She’s an insanely talented point guard, the top point guard in the senior class and arguably the state for a reason, and if you need any other reasons as to why she’s ranked so highly, her ball-handling skills alone should answer any questions you have.
No. 3: Devyn Quigley Devyn Quigley 5'10" | SG Manchester Township | 2024 State NJ – Manchester Township (No. 3 overall)
It’s wild to think that one of the top scorers in the entire country and the top scorer in New Jersey is only No 3 in these rankings, but that just goes to show how big of a basketball powerhouse has been developed here. We don’t really need to say much about the future NC State player, an incredible offensive talent with off-the-charts abilities, a great scorer in all phases of the game, an incredibly successful defensive juggernaut and a future 2,000 and potentially 2,500 point scorer with Manchester Township.
No. 4: Te’Yala Delfosse Te’Yala Delfosse 6'2" | SF Ewing | 2024 State NJ – Ewing (No. 4 overall)
The top four prospects in the updated senior class rankings all hail from Central Jersey, easily the best region for basketball in the state as of right now. Delfosse is the highest-ranked Ewing player of the three-headed monster that’s terrorized basketball programs across the state for the past three seasons, and oh yeah, she’s being rewarded for her success by heading to Michigan next season. Again, another incredible all-around talent with great intangibles for a forward, Delfosse is the real deal and then some.
No. 5: Rhian Stokes Rhian Stokes 5'8" | PG Ewing | 2024 State NJ – Ewing (No. 6 overall)
Stokes is the second Ewing player to appear on this list, the second of three in the top 10 for our updated rankings, and yet another future Division I prospect. She’s pound-for-pound, the best guard in the state, or at least the most balanced guard in the state in our opinion. Stokes is one of the best passing minds in New Jersey high school basketball in some time, dishing off nearly 6.5 assists a game as a junior. She added four triple-doubles to her resume last season and should be recording plenty more as a senior.
