The class of 2024 was the first to be adjusted as these seniors are already into their last high school season. Let’s take a look at some of the stock rising ball handlers from the group.
Emerson Thompson has been a major reason Falls Lake has been so successful over the past several seasons seeing a deep run in the playoffs last year. She handles the ball well against any kind of competition knowing exactly how to move, make adjustments, and make the right play for her team. Her ability to shoot all over the court, especially after jump stops is difficult to defend.
Madison Pounds is such a tough guard on both ends of the court. She likes to play an increased tempo pushing the ball up the court and making sharp passes to her teammates. She can attack the basket herself scoring through contact, and she can set herself up around the perimeter creating her own space to score three. On the other end, she doesn’t back down from guarding the opposing team’s best player keeping them in front of her stripping the ball away to push the turnover the other direction.

Serenity McNair is such a crafty point guard handling the ball for her team pushing the tempo and facilitating offensives sets. She knows the importance of timing when making her passes, and her own cuts are effective moving well without the ball finding the openings to show off her own shot. She is always keeping her eyes up making sure she sees the whole floor and makes the right play.

Molly Burns has been having a phenomenal year so far with Ardrey Kell. She is smooth handling the ball using her whole body and her facial expressions to sell fakes making her defenders lose their footing. She’s creating more shots for herself getting the open look to show off her range shooting the ball, and she hustles up the court being ready for passes on fast breaks to score two. Her defense is fun to watch as well as she can anticipate what her opponents are going to do jumping in front of passing lanes.
