In the article below, I am going to highlight a handful of players out of the 2025 Class, that have been recently added to our PGH system. Each player is someone to know moving forward, if you don’t already.
Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
Someone who has been a producer for a few years now at the high school level throughout the state of Nebraska is Jayla Wilson Jayla Wilson 5’8″ | PG Bellevue East | 2025 State NE of Bellevue East High School. Wilson is a tenacious guard. She demonstrates a consistent, aggressive play style on both sides of the floor, while also being very calculated in all of her movements. I could cover how productive she has been the past two season but we will just stick with the one we are currently in. So far this season, Wilson is averaging 15.4 PPG on 39% shooting, 3.4 RPG, 2.8 APG, and 2.7 SPG. As you can tell, she is doing a little bit of everything to help lead her team to an overall 4-2 record at this point. Wilson has all the intangibles to be a collegiate player at the end of her career. If she continues to produce like this, there is just no way it can be ignored. Her quick handle, precise decision making, and her ability to make something out of nothing all translate to the next level. She just needs to need on letting her work speak for itself.
If you want to talk about a player with above average size and skill for this 2025 Class, look no further than Keeleigh Knobbe Keeleigh Knobbe 5’11” | PG Pius X | 2025 State NE of Piux X High School. I am still learning about Knobbe’s game but from everything I am seeing, she has some promise on the floor. Knobbe stands at 5’10-5’11 and is coordinated with her movements. She understands what works best for her and what works best for the teammates around her. Offensively, she is a guard you can trust. Someone that can handle, finish going either way at the hoop or she can pull it back out for a shot from deep. Not to mention that she is a productive creator and distributor with the ball. Meaning if an opponent tries to double her or take way her shot offensively by over-playing, she can usually find an open teammate for a better look. Knobbe is a multiple sport athlete so I’m not sure what her future may hold but as for the time-being, she is going to lock in at the season at hand. Her team has had a great start to the winter, hopefully they can keep that rolling into the break!
Armanii Brazile Armanii Brazile 5’8″ | SG Millard North | 2025 State NE may not be putting up major stat lines this season throughout her teams first few games but she is coming onto the floor and contributing in a ton of other ways. Brazile works hard. She is one of the first players on the floor or into the stands for a loose ball a majority of the time and she is always listening to the teammates around her. Every team needs a high motor-type player to come off the bench and give their team a spark. Brazile embodies that. When it comes to her specific play-style, it’s the same situation. She does everything pretty well and is versatile. Whatever the coaches need from her, she is going to go out there and do to her best ability. Like I said above, Millard North is the real deal. They could make it far this season at the State Tournament. It won’t be easy but it’s definitely do-able.
When you see Pierre-Noelle Tcheuhchoua Pierre-Noelle Tcheuhchoua 5’11” | C Omaha Central | 2025 State NE take the floor, you know exactly what you are going to get. You are getting tough, consistent play and rebounding near the painted area. Tcheuhchoua is a game-changer in the aspects that teams have to worry about her presence in the paint. No matter what is going on, if you don’t know where Tcheuhchoua is, it may end in a block party. What makes her so efficient is her discipline and knowledge. She understands to a T what the opposing team is trying to accomplish and she understands that if she stays down at all times, it’s going to be hard for that team to accomplish their goals by the basket. This is a staple of Tcheuhchoua’s game and her high school teams identity as a whole. I’ll be interested to see how far this group can take this season. The year is going to have its ups and downs but as long as they stick together with one common goal, it’s going to be a season to remember.
