Kylie Torrence has had a sensational year catching the eyes of college coaches across the country, and she recently announced that she will be playing in the ACC for Boston College once her high school career is finished. Luckily for us, though, we still have another season and a half to catch her making plays on both ends of the court in North Carolina. She knows how to get inside grabbing rebounds and elevate over her opponents to score two, and she doesn’t back down from the open shot around the perimeter. Her moves are sure to create some open space as she is always keeping her eyes on the basket knowing how to make the best play to get some points.
Justice Zimmerman can do it all for her team. She can push the ball up the court keeping her eyes up for the open teammate cutting to the basket. She also fills the open lanes herself getting to the rim to score some points. She’s aggressive with the ball attacking the gaps and being able to quickly pull up for a jumper, and she does all the “little things” getting inside for rebounds and going after loose balls.
Brooklyn Swann knows how to take over games attacking the basket using her power dribbles to get the right angle and score her points. She creates her own space around the perimeter showing off her range shooting the ball. Her ability to handle the ball allows her to score from the top of the key, or she can get inside sealing off her defender posting up to get the entry pass and bucket.
Jamyrah Cherry has a new home with Salisbury this season. She’s an athlete who can get to the basket battling against contact, and she can knock down her shot from deep. Her aggressive ball handling using power dribbles and squaring up with her defender is sure to protect each possession. She can come out of nowhere on defense knocking the ball away or blocking shots to protect the basket.
Highlights
Alicia McClain has certainly been showing off her ability to score some points this season. She’s been making her defenders pay for leaving her open around the arc showing off her range shooting the ball. She gets inside, too, making cuts being ready for the pass and scoring two off the glass. She’ll get inside fighting for rebounds on both ends of the court.
