Kylie Torrence Kylie Torrence 6'1" | SF Winston Salem Christian | 2025 State NC was playing with Winston Salem Christian National team this season with some tough opponents that they met all across the country, and she certainly rose to the occasion. She’s incredibly versatile on the court being able to step up to the high post and go to work whether she drives it hard to the basket or pulls up for her jumper. She knows how to read the defense finding the openings and flashing in and out of the paint, and she can handle the ball against pressure no matter where she is on the court.

Kylie Torrence Kylie Torrence 6'1" | SF Winston Salem Christian | 2025 State NC is continuing to do well going to work in the paint using her ball handling abilities and footwork to score. She was playing the high post holding her ground and finding her teammates cutting to the hoop. Her length was an asset on defense protecting the basket blocking shots. She was battling through contact scoring her points.

Torrence did not wait until her senior season commenced to announce her commitment. Prior to the start of the 2023-24 season, the Winston Salem Christian product declared her intent to head to the ACC – Boston College to be exact. Torrence is transferring to Winston Salem Christian from High Point Christian. In 2023-24, she led the Cougars to a 22-5 record (8-2 in its NCISAA Piedmont conference) while averaging 15.8 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 2.1 assists per contest. The three forward is looking to translate her final spring and summer with Elevate Elite into a strong close of her high school career with her new team.

Kylie Torrence Kylie Torrence 6'1" | SF Winston Salem Christian | 2025 State NC has already made her college decision, and I am sure she is looking to end her high school career on a very high note at Winston-Salem Christian. Coming off back-to-back seasons where she took her team to the state championship, she can help her team by doing a little bit of everything. She flashes in the paint knowing how to move to get the pass, and she can go to work off the dribble or score the bucket off the pass. She can set herself up around the perimeter, too, knocking down shot from all over the court, and her length is certainly an asset for protecting the basket on defense.

She has committed to play college hoops at Boston College following her high school career.

She can attack the basket in the offense and score in a variety of ways at the rim. Torrence can also grab a defensive rebound and take it the length of the floor to score for the Elevate Elite. Already committed to Boston College, Torrence has the potential to be a force in the ACC in the coming years.

Torrence is an elite defender. Her speed paired with length allow her to not only be a lockdown on ball defender, but lunge in the passing lanes like a hawk and grab steals to speed down the other end of the floor. Torrence is most impressive when she is playing off ball defense, anticipates being in help side and gets over just in time to block the ball without fouling. Again, showcasing her speed, she is very responsive in the full court press. Torrence is still working on finishing at the basket over multiple defenders, but it is only at a matter of time before the offense begins to click for her just as her defense has.

Kylie has a lot of tools including a good floater in the paint, or is able to gets to the rim. Love her court vision, distributes the ball while she’s just so lightning quick. Reads the floor, anticipates well and can grab and score. A good complete player who is a leader.

Kylie Torrence was blocking shots with ease in the paint protecting the basket. She did a nice job pushing the ball up the court grabbing steals and making nice dishes to her teammates for some scoring opportunities. She was doing a nice job playing all over the court even making fantastic backdoor cuts losing her defender and scoring her points. Her IQ is apparent knowing when to pull up and when to take the ball all the way to the hoop.

Kylie Torrence scored 23 points for High Point Christian Academy on Friday. Thus far in her junior season, she has led her team to a 17 and 3 record. Torrence is an outstanding athlete who is also super-skilled. She has fantastic touch around the rim and can score through contact in the paint. When Torrence catches the basketball on the perimeter, she is a threat. She has a smooth stroke and can shoot it from deep. Currently, Torrence is averaging 19 points and over 9 boards per game.
