Adelaide Jernigan took over the #1 spot as she is truly a special player on the court, and she shows up consistently each game for her team. She’s an excellent ball handler knowing how to create her own space to put up her shot, and she can certainly shoot well from around the arc. She knows how to make the right adjustments and draw defenders towards her in order to open up some space for her teammates. She has some good length to her, too, where she can cause disruptions on defense using her arms to knock the ball away and grab the steal.
Kamryn Kitchen has made herself the focus of her opponents with how she can always find ways to score whether she is knocking down her shot from deep or attacking the basket. She’s smooth handling the ball knowing exactly when to make her move to get the open look, and she makes sharp passes to her teammates to get them some points, too. Her court vision is apparent the way she knows how to make the next best play.
Maya McCorkle has been having an excellent season stepping up as the leader for her Cannon team. She’s been explosive getting to the basket and making plays at the rim, and she can handle the ball well creating her own space to put up her jumper. She’s been aggressive on defense, too, jumping in front of passing lanes and pushing these steals up the court for some fast break points. Her ability to see the floor and make adjustments is an asset getting the ball to her teammates.
Mckenzie Graves hit her 1000 point milestone earlier this month, and we are sure that she isn’t going to be stopping there. She is a guard who can attack any lane with ease getting to the rim to score her own points or make the nice pass to her teammates for their own shot. She’s explosive with the ball in her hands knowing exactly what move to make to have her opponents lose their balance. Her step back shot is difficult to defend but fun to watch.
Highlights
Jacquelyn Jakubecy is a versatile athlete on the court. She can get inside posting up on the block, and she is sure to get some rebounds, especially scoring on offensive boards. She can battle inside and score three points from the free throw line, or she can knock down her shot around the perimeter. On defense, she is disruptive protecting the paint blocking shots and deflecting passes.
