Isabelle Cole Isabelle Cole 5'8" | SF Fair Haven Union | 2025 New E , 5’11 F – Fair Haven Union H.S. Class of 2025
Izzy had the laser beam sighted in to open the season. Cole, an inside/out forward with nice feel off the ball, simply erupted from 3-point land. Cole had 28 points with six threes and numerous smart little finishes off of cuts and screens around the rim. Defensively she was sharp, and she hit the glass to prevent second chance points as FHU took down D1 Burlington. Nice opening night from Cole.
Nylah Mitchell Nylah Mitchell 5'8" | PF Burlington HighSchool | 2025 State New E , 5’9 W/F – Burlington H.S. Class of 2025
With an 18-point performance on opening night and a follow-up performance against Spaulding where she went for 16, Nylah has proved herself an early X-factor for BHS. Mitchell’s work off the ball led to so much of her scoring as she flashed through the paint with hard cuts and physical post ups, finishing well and getting to the FT line. Moreover, Nylah’s hustle on the defensive end and on the boards has proven crucial for BHS. Love what I’m seeing from her early on.
Charlotte Jasmin Charlotte Jasmin 5'8" | SG Hartford | 2026 State New E , 5’9 G – Hartford H.S. Class of 2026
In a hard-fought battle against one of D1’s top dogs in St. Johnsbury, Jasmin and co. in Hartford gave them an early season wake up. Charlotte went for 20 and she got it in so many different ways. Her 3-ball fell through, finding the range off of nifty side steps. But it was her slashing that proved unstoppable. She got to the cup oh so well in both the open court and halfcourt. Jasmin’s two-way toughness and rebounding, along with a gritty team performance all around, had Hartford in the game til late in the 4th.
Hayden Wilkins Hayden Wilkins 5'8" | PG Saint Johnsbury Academy | 2024 State New E , 5’8 G – St. Johnsbury Academy Class of 2024
Wilkins is one of those players who seems to get better as the pressure mounts. St. J had trouble finding rhythm much of the game, but Hayden consistently stepped up and made vital plays when momentum was shifting. She knocked down four threes on the night, all in the flow of the offense, and she made a number of savvy drives to finish + set up teammates with easy buckets down low. And as always, her hustle and defensive fortitude were locked in. I still have St. J. as early season favorites in D1.
Marlie Bushey Marlie Bushey 5'10" | SG Milton | 2026 State New E , 5’10 G/W – Milton H.S. Class of 2026
One of 2026’s finest, Marlie is off to a nice start for this Milton team. Bushey has collected 23 points in each of their two wins, and she does it with variety. She has scoring at each level with nice finishing around the rim, spot-ups in the short to mid-range, and a 3-ball that she hits efficiently but doesn’t rely on. Moreover, her rebounding and defensive versatility are so impactful; she defends 2-4, switches on anything, and after she hits the glass, she breaks out in transition for buckets and dimes. Marlie is bound for a big year.
