<p>The Chaparral Roadrunners traveled north to Hutchinson to take on Celtics of Hutchinson Trinity Catholic. After holding a slim first quarter lead the Celtics survived turnovers and many early missed free throws to enter the final stanza up double digits. The Roadrunners put on their track shoes at the very end of the third and ratched up that full court pressure in the fourth. Chaparral reeled off 13-0 run to tie the game at the six minute mark before finally seizing the lead with under four minutes to go. Dictating in the half court enabled the Roadrunners to leave Hutchinson with a 39-35 win. Several players had notable performances, take a look.</p>

Active and physical on both ends Swartz showed good transition speed and solid hands. </p>

Primarily working in the high give-and-go game she showed good use of her size and length to catch tough passes and rebounds in traffic. She also cleared the ball out to her point guard well. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='649337' first='Mackenzie' last='Alvarez'], 5'6", PG, 2024 - Alvarez is clearly a player who needs to have the ball in her hands. She showed scoring and, especially, good transition passing ability but she uses that passing ability to creating shots for her teammates. Doing that opens up shots and scoring opportunities for herself. She has solid speed and good length as well.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='539008' first='Mattie' last='Galliher'], 5'11", PF, 2025 - Galliher showed length, rebounding ability, and physicality at times on both ends. With her scoring ability working on the block she needs more touches that enable her to take pressure off the guards. </p>
