Mila Holloway continues to lead the offense for Legacy handling the ball and attacking the basket being shifty with her moves to get to the rim. She’ll get inside for rebounds for her team, too, and she knows how to control the tempo. She’s so smooth attacking the paint and putting up the floater knowing exactly how to get to the opening. She is a nuisance on defense blocking the passes and grabbing steals.
Brooke Suttle showed off her range shooting the ball from deep. She attacked the basket well, and she was constantly relocating on offense to get the open look. She did a nice job creating her own space with the ball to put up her shot. Her defenders didn’t seem to have an answer for her as she could create off the dribble or the pass.
Madison Pounds leads the offense for NC GBB knowing how to move the ball, make her own cuts, and attack the basket. She has nice range shooting the ball knocking it down from all over the perimeter. She hustled back on defense blocking shots on fast breaks protecting the basket. She gets inside going after rebounds, too.
Highlights
Kaylee Carson had 14 of the Patriots’ 21 first half points as she can score on all levels, and she is truly electric with the ball in her hands. She has a beautiful shot all over the court, and she can get by anyone creating her own space. She has a nice midrange making one move and finding the open space.
Elliott Jessup showed off her range shooting the ball from around the arc. She even had a nice nutmeg off a steal pushing the turnover up the court for a fast break. She drives hard to the basket battling through contact to convert her points. She facilitated the offense for her team knowing exactly where to move the ball and make the play.
Sira Thienou had some strong takes to the rim. She was exploding along the baseline getting to the basket, and she released quickly on fast breaks being ready for the pass. She had a nice spin move turning to lose her defender and stepping back for some points. She pushed the ball up the court finding her open teammates as they were cutting to the hoop.
Danielle Carnegie was exploding to the basket battling contact for her points. She got inside for rebounds, and she took defensive rebounds all the way up the court for a fast break jumper. She had a nice quarterback style throw up the court hitting her teammate in stride for two more points. She was driving and knowing when to pull up for the jumper or take it all the way.
Edina Strausz is a strong presence inside constantly moving and sealing off her opponent to get the open look. She can bank it off the glass or find her open teammate for their own points, and she is sure to grab plenty of rebounds on both ends of the court. She even stepped outside to show off her range shooting the ball.
