Teams from across the southeast came to compete against one another in an opportunity to get better in the middle of their high school seasons. Let’s take a look at some of the standouts from the state of Georgia.
Sanaa Tripp came out on a hot streak shooting the ball hitting back to back three pointers on the first two possessions. She had a nice midrange showing off how she can create space using change of direction moves to get the open look. She played both ends grabbing steals and taking it all the way for her own fast break.
Highlights
Lauren Phillip was a force in the paint blocking shots knowing how to follow the cutter and time her swat perfectly. She got inside on both ends grabbing rebounds, and she finished from the free throw line when she had to battle through contact. She knew how to move well without the ball making the defense give her extra attention and open up the court for her teammates.

Nicora Patrick had some nice post moves swinging her arms and keeping the ball up high as she went to work in the paint. She made nice passes from the top of the key, too, hitting her post player teammate in stride as they cut to the basket. She showed some range with her shot, too.
Zana Justice was causing problems in the paint getting the entry pass and going to work for some points. She was rebounding on both ends showing her toughness as opponents tried to get her out of position. She was flashing in and out of the paint making the defense shift and keeping her arms outstretched ready for the pass.
Yolanda Floyd made her court vision apparent as she directed her teammates where to go and slid into the openings herself. She has a nice shot from around the perimeter, and she can score at the midrange easily. She hustled back on defense grabbing the steal from a pass and turning it right around.
Tatum Brown had a nice cut to the open spot and pulled up for the jumper. She is quick getting up the court catching the ball like a receiver and laying it in. She even hit her 1,000 point milestone in the middle of the game scoring on a fast break leading to an explosive response from her fans.
Saniya Binion was showing off her athleticism jumping up and in front of passes to grab the steal, and she scored on solo fast breaks off of these turnovers. She found the open lanes driving hard to the basket. She was getting inside for rebounds on both ends of the court.
Ashley Harris did a nice job grabbing steals, and she was quick with the ball getting up the court with her smooth handling. She scored through contact on a fast break with her explosiveness setting herself up for an old fashioned three point play. When she didn’t take the ball all the way herself, she made some nice passes to her teammates hitting them in stride on the fast break.
