Carsyn Hagood Carsyn Hagood 5'9" | SG Doniphan | 2027 State MO (Doniphan): A 5’9 guard who had an immediate impact on Donettes as she helped lead them to the championship of the Lady Dawg Classic in Van Buren. She made an early statement with a pair of 27-point performances. She has an excellent feel for the game as well as a feathery shooting touch from long distance.
Laniya Carrigan Laniya Carrigan 6'3" | PF St. Joe Lafayette | 2027 State MO (St Joe Lafayette): A 6’2″ forward who already stands out with her length and shot blocking ability. She has excellent timing to go with her wingspan which enables her to get lots of swats without fouling. I was impressed with what I saw from her at the Winnetonka Tournament. She runs the court well and she passed the ball well from the high post as she can see over the defense.
Ellie Moore (Troy): A 6’0″ forward who I actually got my first look at a grassroots tournament in April. I was impressed then with her tenacity around the basket along with her versatile skill set. Not surprisingly, she is a starting forward on a talented Trojans team that is already 4-0 with a championship of the Troy Tournament. She has good mobility and footwork around the basket and she uses the glass well on her shots. She scored 13 points in the Trojans victory over Hickman in the championship game.
Alyce Edwards Alyce Edwards 5'2" | PG Kennett School | 2027 MO (Kennett): A young point guard who has already made a huge impression in the SEMO area with some high-scoring performances. She led the Eagles to a third-place finish in the SEMO Conference Tournament. She is averaging more than 30 points a game, which includes a high of 38 points. She also had another game where she scored 43 points. Wow.
Jordyn Pierce (Raymore-Peculiar): A young wing player who was very impressive in the game that I watched her at the Winnetonka Tournament. She did a nice job of knocking down open 3-pointers, but she was also attacking the close outs with a good shot fake to make a move off the dribble. She also plays very well without the ball with her sharp cuts into the lane.
Emery Omen (St Joe Lafayette): A young power forward who has already shown to be one of the best offensive rebounders that I’ve seen of a player at any age. She has nose for the ball and she goes after offensive boards out of her area with great tenacity. If you don’t do your work to box her out early, the show’s over. She’s already got the ball and putting it back in.
