Blythe, Booker, Stone, Moss, and the Gidney’s are all fun to watch on the basketball court. They compete, and they make positive things happen on both offense and defense.
Hickory Ridge’s Ma-kaela Gidney scored 15 and Sheree Gidney Sheree Gidney 5’10” | PF Hickory Ridge | 2024 State NC tossed in 11 points in a win over Central Cabarrus. Both players are averaging double-figures for the Bulls this season. Sheree is a versatile player who finishes well in the paint. Ma-kaela is the team’s motor. She pushes in transition, and she is a force on defense. Hickory Ridge is currently 7 and 1 on the season.

Chloe Moss Chloe Moss 5’11” | PF Independence | 2024 State NC is hard to guard. She has a smooth outside shot and the ability to score in bunches for her Independence team. Moss has a strong basketball build and she is a fantastic athlete. Over the weekend, she connected on 8 of 12 field goals from the floor and scored 18 points for her Independence squad. Moss is a talented senior with a huge amount of potential on the basketball floor.
Abigail Stone
Abigail Stone
Abigail Stone went 7 of 8 from the floor and scored 22 points for East Chapel Hill High School on Thursday night. Stone has a pretty outside shot and the ability to connect on multiple three-point field goals in any game for the Wildcats. Stone is hard to guard because of her size and the high release she has on her jumper. This season, Stone has scored 17 or more points in 5 different games for East Chapel Hill.
Lili Booker Lili Booker 5’7″ | CG Mallard Creek | 2024 State NC had a huge game for Mallard Creek. She scored 32 points in a variety of ways for her team. She is an amazing athlete who forces multiple steals that lead to lay-ups, and ones, and free throw opportunities. Booker has a lightning-quick first step, and it is nearly impossible for defenders to keep her in front. She is leading her team in points per game, assists per game, steals per game, and is second in three-point shooting percentage. She is a creative player who is fun to watch on the court. Booker has committed to play for Longwood University following her high school career.

Margaret Blythe
Margaret Blythe scored 19 points to lead Charlotte Country Day to a victory on Saturday. Blythe is a knock-down shooter with a quick release. Blythe gets her feet set quickly in transition, and she can create space for her shot when she is guarded. She is a talented junior who can also pass for several assists a game. On defense, Blythe uses her length to create steals and deflections for the Buccaneers.
