No. 6: Carlie Lapinski Carlie Lapinski 6'1" | PF Manasquan | 2024 State NJ – Manasquan (No. 53 overall)
A six-foot forward and future college prospect, Lapinski made the move to Manasquan last season, a move that looks like it’s paid off for her. That height has been a great asset for her to use on both sides of the ball. Great mobility guarding the basketball, someone who can guard up top and track players down the lane. She seems in control of the lane when the ball is in her hands, and is crafty around the rim to get a quick bucket. A great frontcourt leader and vocal presence on the team, Lapinski is truly coming into her own.
No. 7: Demi Simpson Demi Simpson 6'0" | PF Teaneck | 2024 State NJ – Teaneck (No. 65 overall)
Another future college prospect, Simpson is someone who moves well off-ball, getting herself into positions to score. We’ve seen that countless times on tape, commanding the ball so that she can make a play and often times, she does with ease. That also brings with it a level of physicality that has sent her to the foul line countless times, as well as gotten her turnovers when back on defense. Great awareness, solid shot for a forward with some range to go with it and plenty of versatility in her overall game.
No. 8: Erin Fahy Erin Fahy PF Cresskill | 2024 State NJ – Cresskill (No. 69 overall)
Fahy put together a fantastic junior season with Cresskill as a junior, her second-straight season with double-double averages. With that has come a high level of confidence that’s allowed her to be more physical down low when asked of her. She’s getting the ball at a high clip and she wants the offense to flow through her as those opportunities multiply in number. Fahy is boxing people out left and right, getting great positioning on the block for a turnaround jumper or a spin move inside for an easy layup.
No. 9: Sydney Stokes Sydney Stokes 6'0" | PF Mainland | 2024 State NJ – Mainland (No. 104 overall)
A great team needs a great presence down low, and Mainland not only has the guard pairing to run the Jersey Shore, but has a great forward in Sydney Stokes Sydney Stokes 6'0" | PF Mainland | 2024 State NJ to drop the ball down to. Stokes had an evolution of her game take place as a junior, the big down low with the soft touch and aggressive defense. She attacks the basket well and finishes with flair, but if anyone comes toward her, she’s not letting anyone through, acting like a brick wall in the paint that opponents have trouble figuring out.
No. 10: Aliyah Folarin Aliyah Folarin 5'8" | PF Woodbridge | 2024 State NJ – Woodbridge (No. 118 overall)
Folarin is a unique case in this top 10 list, someone who has been stuck behind some big pieces on Woodbridge for the past two seasons. Her senior year is the time to pounce on a starting spot in the frontcourt and make great use of her opportunity because we know she can rebound. We’ve seen her post up down low and show solid defensive prowess. There’s definitely an untapped part of her game in her scoring where she can blossom. The tools are there; she just needs the time to showcase them.
