When you think about the best middle school teams in the state of Tennessee, make sure to include Sevier County Junior High with the best of them!

This was a hard fought game for 4 quarters! Sevier County was up at halftime 18-12 but Rogersville City improved their defense and came out shooting hot in the second half!

Rogersville City Middle School won 37-26. This was Rogersville City's toughest matchup so far! Expect to hear more about both of these respected programs and their teams in the future! By the way, Rogersville City still remains unbeaten this season!

The 5 starters for Rogersville City were Molli Stuffle, Kenady Deal, Addie Lawson, [player_tooltip player_id='1248884' first='Chloe' last='Pearson'], & [player_tooltip player_id='1252936' first='Rylee' last='Sivert']. The 5 starters for Sevier County Jr. High included Brylee Valentine, Aubree Thompson, Natalie Craft, Gemma Osborne, and Hannah Madison.

Here are a few of the impact players:

Molli Stuffle | G | 2029 | Rogersville City Middle - Molli impacts the game in so many different ways. Stuffle has an extremely high IQ! Yes, she can shoot but one of the most impressive parts of her game is how quick she can make a decision. Most middle schoolers do not fully understand yet how important it is to make a decision and make it fast. Molli knows exactly what she is going to do with the ball! Molli tallied 11 points and numerous steals!

Kenady Deal | G | 2029 | Rogersville City Middle - Deal truly came out the 2nd half on fire and was not going to be stopped! Kenady drilled three long balls with range! If you want to talk about an athlete that connected from everywhere on the court, let's talk about Kenady Deal! I don't think I have witnessed a 7th grader with a quicker release! I have watched a lot of athletes from elementary to high school and this 7th grader has a quicker release than some high school kids! She can score in bunches and in numerous ways! A consistent, efficient athlete on both sides of the court! Deal led all scorers with 17 points!

Addie Lawson | G | 2028 | Rogersville City Middle - Lawson definitely has a natural feel for the game! The 8th grader already has good size and length! Lawson is one of the most versatile athletes that you are going to find at the middle school level. Addie can guard players 1-5 and she's strong enough to hold her own against anyone that might be a little taller! Lawson finished with 6 points on the night to go with numerous rebounds!

[player_tooltip player_id='1248884' first='Chloe' last='Pearson'] | C | 2028 | Rogersville City Middle - Pearson is an exceptional rebounder that uses her size well! Chloe provided her team with numerous rebounds and blocked shots! She has a good understanding of post play and positioning. Chloe plays exceptional defense and she stays aggressive in the post!

Aubree Thompson | G | 2028 | Sevier County Junior High - Thompson is definitely a basketball savvy kid! She is a true floor general! Aubree finished with 8 points, numerous steals, rebounds, and assists. I love the way that Aubree passes and relocates! I have witnessed high school players passing and finding a corner to go stand in. Aubree passes and relocates great and she is only in the 8th grade! She makes strong cuts to the basket and runs the floor with purpose!

Hannah Madison | F | 2028 | Sevier County Junior High - Madison was another post player that welcomed kids to her block party! Hannah recorded numerous rebounds and blocks! It was fun to watch Hannah and Pearson battle back and forth in the paint. She runs the floor exceptionally well and she has a knack for finding open spaces on the court!

Addison Brewer | G | 2029 | Sevier County Junior High - Brewer came off the bench and led the Bearettes in scoring. Addison knocked down two 3 point shots! Numerous hustle stats also went her way! She is a fundamentally sound athlete with good mechanics.

BOTH of these teams have extremely bright futures. I only mentioned 7 players above. Remember, this is the middle school level! If all of the athletes from BOTH squads keep working, the future is extremely bright!

Good luck to all of the athletes and the coaching staffs!

When you think about the best middle school teams in the state of Tennessee, make sure to include Sevier County Junior High with the best of them!
