Today I will look at guards (either point or shooting guards) who had a good week when I saw them. Also I will looking at solid post players and rising underclassmen in future capsules.
Audrey Lowe
Audrey Lowe
While teaming up with Sammy Russell Sammy Russell 5’6″ | PG New Carlisle Tecumseh | 2026 OH , who we will discuss later, it was Audrey Lowe who had a solid game as she looks to help fill the void of several seniors who are now playing at the collegiate level. I like this kids court vision and her aggressiveness with the ball. She is definitely not afraid of contact. Makes good decisions and able to distribute. A nice backcourt compliment to Russell who is going to be their main offensive threat this season. I do like Audreys game which is developing.
A very smooth offensive player, does an excellent job at pushing tempo, and can finish the break strong at the rim. Reads the play in advance, also has a good perimeter shot while being a solid defender with good basketball court sense. A very quick catch-and-shoot three point threat.
Bailey Schmit
Bailey Schmit
She shows good senior leadership qualities on both sides of the ball. Bailey is a scrappy aggressive defender and has quick and active hands. I do love her drive to the rim and she is a good finisher. Bailey had helped lead her team to a 2-1 start to the young season, and his the leading returning scorer from last season.
Brenna Schmit
Brenna Schmit
Like her sister, Brenna is providing good quality senior minutes as one of the leaders on the Tigers. She sees the floor well and can thread the ball into the paint. Able to push tempo and make the right pass. Her experience is key to the success of the Tigers this season. Good defender and able to cause turnovers with her aggressive style.
Ava just seems to keep getting better every time I see her play. So poised and a leader on the floor, wants the ball in her hands. Always around the ball, does a good job around the rim and a good presence on the offensive boards. Outstanding guard with leadership skills, distributes well. Great body control. Next-level kid.
Jenna is the player with the “it factor” for the Tigers. Versailles has a lot of different weapons who you will meet the next few days, but it all starts with the senior leader. She is playing her best ball right now and showed a lot of maturity and confidence in her game. She makes them go with a strong floor game and leadership. Can knock down the 3. Will take her game to Edison State.
Lindsey does an excellent job at pushing tempo with good handles, and has a great outlet pass with court vision to create scoring opportunities for her team. Excellent shooter, good catch and shoot player from behind the arc with a quick shot. She’s an experience player and a good leader for this team.
