Winnetonka Tournament Class of 2024 Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Girls Hoops Missouri had the opportunity to watch the action from the Winnetonka Tournament through the Magical Stream Machine. Grain Valley won the championship after defeating Lee's Summit in a very competitive game. Here is a look at the top Class of 2024 standouts who caught our eye during the tournament.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Honor Mannings (St. Joe Lafayette): A 5'7" point guard who has tremendous speed and quickness and she utilizes it well on the defensive end. She's very nimble and she plays the passing lanes well and she can also give you some tenacious on-ball defensive pressure. She stays on the balls of her feet. She is very good in the open court where she can attack the basket. She also has a nice cross-over move to break down a defender off the dribble.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Adriana Benassi (Lee's Summit): A 5'10" wing player who helped lead the Tigers to a berth in the championship game. She's a talented lefty who can facilitate offense as a playmaker and also get buckets in a variety of ways. She's very shifty with good handles and she can get into the lane or knock down the pull up jumper from the mid-range area. She's a good athlete who also has quick hands on defense and she also blocked a 3-pointer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Megan Knust (Grain Valley): A 5'9" power forward who helped Grain Valley to the championship with her solid play in the paint. She is a physical player who loves to screen people and she's very good at it. She will find people. She can catch from the high post and rip through to score on the straight line drive to the basket.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tatum Bresette (Lee's Summit): A 5'6" guard who displayed a nice 3-point shooting stroke during the tournament. She knocked down four triples in the Tigers win over Park Hill in the first round. She also plays with a solid motor at both ends of the court.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>McKenna Sosna (Park Hill): A 5'7" guard who was very effective when she was penetrating into the lane. She operates well with the two-foot jump stop in the lane for good balance. She can hit the runner or she can deliver a pass to an open teammate. She can also deliver a nice pass on the pick-and-roll.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
