Upperman raced out to a big 2nd quarter lead, and Oak Ridge dug back into it, but ultimately it wasn’t enough vs the Lady Bees.
Final:
Upperman: 50
Oak Ridge: 45
In the final Upperman vs Oak Ridge game, Upperman looked very very good. Dolente continued to impress with 5 total three’s made, and she’s been a one of the most consistent shooters and scorers in the state. She leads this team, and they rally and feed off her energy. When Dolente is rolling….Upperman is TOUGH.

Johnson looked good all tournament long doing Jenna Johnson Jenna Johnson 5’11” | C Oak Ridge | 2025 State TN things. All tournament long the 6’0 wing averaged near a double double. She may have led the entire tournament in blocks, and had 5 (by my count) blocks in the vs Upperman.

Porter wouldn’t let Oak Ridge roll over and die, as she confidently knocked down three 3’s in the fourth quarter rally. Porter has quietly turned herself into a reliable big time shooter and scorer for Oak Ridge. With the tools they have, Porter’s development as a shooter really gives Oak Ridge a chance to make postseason noise.
Mullins looked smooth all tournament long. She’s a really high IQ player that knows how to star in her role on this Upperman team. She’s a connector that makes winning plays: she makes the right pass, doesn’t force the issue, knocks down open shots, and defends with passion. Mullins is the type of role player that takes teams from good to great.

Another solid game from Butler, and she’s impressed this tournament along with Dolente has big time scorers. This Upperman team was hoping to be playing later in the day on Sunday….but ultimately….this is all just practice for Feburary and March. This Upperman group looks well round with lots of tools, and Butler is a key piece of that puzzle.

The freshman guard has been really nice addition to this Oak Ridge squad, and she’s giving them a big of electricity of the bounce. Her skillset gives them both a dynamic defender and playmaker, and really fits in well with the Oak Ridge system.
