<p>The annual Ocean City shootout took place this weekend with an exciting lineup that saw notable performances and big upsets! Formerly known as the 97.3 ESPN Shootout (held at both Ocean City HS & Holy Spirit HS), this event brought together teams from the CVC, CAL, Tri-County and Shore Conference to compete under one roof! The following five left an indelible mark on the weekend and have been dubbed the Starting 5:</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='325192' first='Devyn' last='Quigley'] | Manchester Twp</strong></p>

<p>Despite being held below her insane 33.4 ppg season average, Devyn still managed to record a big double-double against Holy Spirit all while being double (and sometimes triple) teamed. The NC State commit put her tremendous two-way game on full display and did a little bit of everything in Manchester Township's narrow 59-54 loss. She tallied 19 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 block and 6 steals to keep the Hawks close all game long.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='677601' first='Lola' last='McGonigle'] | Wildwood Catholic</strong></p>

<p>The freshman phenom was UNSTOPPABLE in the Crusaders' 60-45 dispatch of Notre Dame. Lola notched her second-highest scoring total of the season (26 points) and hit five 3's in the process. She also gave us a glimpse of her emerging all-court game as she grabbed 4 rebounds, dished out 4 assists and snagged 1 steal. She is quickly asserting herself as one of the most dangerous point guards and best 3-point shooters in New Jersey's Class of 2027.</p>

<p>The 5'8" guard put up a career-high in rebounds on Saturday in a stunning 51-50 win against South Jersey Group 1 favorite Wildwood. Bridget willed Atlantic City to victory with 18 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals, notching her second-ever career double-double. She got to the basket with authority, initiated contact earned trips to the charity stripe where she went 6 for 10. She has been putting opponents in Group 4 on notice all season long with her impressive stat lines.</p>

<p>Synai led the charge as the Bucs defeated Tri-County power Gloucester Catholic 41-30 in a low-scoring affair Saturday afternoon. She recorded 14 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and tied her career-high in steals with 4. She also knocked down two huge 3-pointers and showed off her versatility in how she gets buckets. Synai put in tremendous work on both sides of the ball and prove she's a multi-dimensional player with a big two-way game.</p>

<p>Macie notched her 11th double-double of the season despite the Warriors' 51-50 defeat at the hands of Atlantic City. She was red-hot firing off five triples en-route to a 25-point performance. She also pulled down 12 boards, swiped 2 steals and dished out an assist in yet another fantastic do-it-all performance this season. It's an arduous task for any defender to try and stop a player like Macie who has a deep passion for the game, possesses a sharp acumen and sniper-like abilities from long range.</p>
