<p>On Thursday, January 11th, the <strong>Lady Chargers of McClintock</strong> traveled to <strong>North Canyon</strong> to take on the [program_tooltip program_id='713958' first='Lady' last='Rattlers'] in a battle of 5A Metro teams. The first half was a back-and-forth as McClintock had to deal with foul trouble. North Canyon fought to stay close but were unsuccessful as McClintock pulled out the victory <strong>61-45.</strong> <br><br><br><strong>Here I take a look at a few of the standouts:</strong></p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='614984' first='Lamaiya' last='Woodberry'] <strong>McClintock</strong></p>

<p>Woodberry is a physical guard who does a little of everything on the court. In this contest she scored 26 despite being in foul trouble the entire game. She can get the rebound and go coast to coast. She has excellent speed with the ball in open court and can easily absorb contact once she gets in the paint. </p>

<p>The senior guard did all that she could to keep her team in the game. On offense, she showed the ability to draw the opposing defense and get her teammates open looks. She did this while also being aggressive in looking for her own shot. On defense, she has quick hands and excellent instincts, which leads to a lot of steals. She is among the steal leaders in the state. </p>

<p>The freshman showed a lot of potential. She's long and athletic, which helps her on both ends of the court. On offense, she has a nice jump hook and a very quick second jump. On defense, she alters shots with her length and is a good rebounder. Her best basketball is way ahead of her. </p>

<p>King is a freshman who plays with a lot of confidence and isn't afraid to attack the defense. She has range that extends out past the three-point line. She's a good ball handler and shows the ability to get to the lane and finish.<br></p>
