Ava Grosdider and Thasanee Wilmeth Thasanee Wilmeth 5'6" | SG Trinity Academy | 2026 State KS led the top six debuters, enjoy this look at the next seven. Players are listed in rank order.
Lili Szabo Lili Szabo 5'5" | PG Life Prep | 2026 State KS , 5’5″, PG, Life Prep Academy – The lone point guard entering, Szabo joins the rankings at #75. Plenty more to see from her but in a one point loss to Pratt Community College she poured in 20 points on 7/13 shooting including 2/5 from three point land. While she also had 5 turnovers she racked up 5 assists and 4 steals.
Josie Carlgren Josie Carlgren 5'8" | SF Washburn Rural | 2026 State KS , 5’8″ SF, Washburn Rural – Carlgren is the second small forward and one of two Junior Blues debuting, entering at #80. In her first game of the season, against Newton, what grabbed my attention was Carlgren’s passing ability and interior vision. She makes a variety quick, soft, catchable passes and hits her post players where they are calling for the ball. On the receiving end she has good hands as well.
Hallie Walker Hallie Walker 5'11" | PF Washburn Rural | 2026 State KS , 5’11”, PF, Washburn Rural – Walker is the second Junior Blue debuting, entering at #84. Against Newton in her first game of the season Walker repeatedly found other posts inside with quick, soft interior passes. She also showed good hands, scoring ability around the basket and an affinity for punishing lazy box-outs by grabbing offensive rebounds for put-backs.
Kayte Shively Kayte Shively 5'8" | SF Rallins County | 2026 State KS , 5’8″, SF, Rawlins County – The top 1A Division I debuter, Shively enters at #97. My colleague Jeremy Deckard noted that entering the 2024 season she made use of her big wing span and hops to average 9 points and 6.9 rebounds as a freshman. Thus far in 2024 through 6 games she is averaging 10.2 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 1.5 steals for the 4-2 Buffaloes.
Reianna Vega Reianna Vega 5'11" | SF Shawnee Heights | 2026 State KS , 5’11”, SF, Shawnee Heights – Vega, the lone 5A debuter, joins at #101. 12.2.23 Deckard article- Vega is a solid two-sport prospect. She had a team-high 12 points for Shawnee Heights in the loss to De Soto to open the season. She shot 4-of-8 from the floor and 4-of-6 from the free-throw line. Vega does a nice job of cleaning the boards and can create her shot.
Madison Morgan Madison Morgan 5'8" | SG La Crosse | 2026 State KS , 5’8″, SG, La Crosse – Mogan debuts in the rankings at #105. A 2023 Central Prairie League second team selection she has shown solid speed to go with good length. While her release is a count to the slow side due to some wasted movement she has put up strong numbers to support the Leopards’ 5-1 start. MaxPreps only shows stats for three games but Morgan has averages of 22 points, 5 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and a steal.
Lylah Voss Lylah Voss 6'2" | C Logan/Palco | 2026 State KS , 6’0″, C, Logan/Palco – The lone 1A Division II debuter, Voss enters at #115. 2024 First 6 games averaging 10.7 points, 8.3 rebounds. Shooting 53% from the floor, 64% from the line.
