North Forsyth Mid-Season Report

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>North Forsyth girls basketball are undefeated to start the season. They are currently standing at an impressive undefeated record of 20-0. For the most part their games have been blowouts. But they do have some good wins coming against ranked teams Loganville and Tift County. North Forsyth has been winning games at large margin holding their opponents under 30 points for January. Surprisingly they are ranked 10th in Georgia even with their undefeated record, but I see that changing soon as the season progresses.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>They play great team defense consistently getting in passing lanes to disrupt ball handlers and cause turnovers. Also, their size allows them to block and alter opponent shots at a high rate. North Forsyth does an excellent job at boxing out and team rebounding as they use their size to their advantage. They often press their opponents early on in games to develop a quick lead. For that reason, they are extremely active at the top of their press causing havoc for the other team ball handlers often stealing the ball and scoring before they can get the ball up the court. North Forsyth is very versatile which allows them to be able to trap and switch defenders on defense. Doing so creates turnovers that lead to easy layups in transition.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>North Forsyth has a good chemistry on offense. This is because they move the ball around a ton and are constantly cutting and moving to find the best open look. North Forsyth does a good job at attacking the defense and kicking out to open shooters. They have a perfect combination of size and skill that creates mismatches and easy looks at the basket. She is an active defender often gets steals and blocks because of her length. She also has great control finishing over her defender at the rim. I was impressed on feel for the game as she always seems to be in the right place at the right time on both sides of the ball. She quickly gets up and down the court which is impactful constantly having a presence down at the rim.
