Happy New Year to everyone from Prep Girls Hoops New Jersey and already, we've seen quite a bit of great basketball taking place. Along with that, there's been plenty of action in the recruiting space, from offers to commitments. Here's the latest recruiting update from PGH NJ as of January 8.

[player_tooltip player_id='488726' first='Raquel' last='Guidetti'] - Rumson Fair-Haven (2024) commits to Catholic University

It's been a great two years for Guidetti at Rumson Fair-Haven, including this season, and the senior will have plenty of basketball left for her as she committed to continuing her career at Catholic University in Washington D.C.

This season, she's averaged 11 PPG, 2.9 RPG and 2.1 APG through 10 games, excelling from beyond the arc as she did as a junior. Guidetti has knocked down 47 threes in 37 career games at RFH, an impressive number bound to increase this season. Really proud of her and really excited to see what she can do in college.

[player_tooltip player_id='238691' first='Kiyomi' last='McMiller'] - Life Center Academy (2024) commits to Rutgers

Rutgers just got a hell of a recruit in a top three prospect in the senior class in New Jersey as ranked by PGH NJ, senior [player_tooltip player_id='238691' first='Kiyomi' last='McMiller'] out of Life Center Academy. The five-star prospect went to ESPN's SportsCenter Next Instagram account to make her announcement, one that will see her stay in New Jersey and head to a Power Five conference team.

McMiller is a 20-point scorer at LCA, an impressive skillset that we haven't seen out of too many players coming out of the Garden State. Her playmaking ability speaks for itself and her demeanor on the court is one of determination and grit. Massive get for the Scarlet Knights.

[player_tooltip player_id='601266' first='Kennedy' last='Brown'] - Morris Catholic (2026) offered by Furman

Coming off the John Wall Invitational in North Carolina during the holidays, Furman University showed great interest in Morris Catholic guard [player_tooltip player_id='601266' first='Kennedy' last='Brown'], giving her an official offer.

Well-deserved and much-deserved accomplishment for Brown as her list of college offers will continue to grow as her career continues. She's been great as a sophomore for the Crusaders, averaging 8.4 PPG, 2.6 RPG and 1.9 APG in nine games played and we won't forget to mention her 1.8 SPG thus far as well, made even more impressive by MC's tough schedule.

[player_tooltip player_id='489441' first='Harper' last='Felch'] - Morris Tech (2024) commits to Academy of Art

The dominoes of uncommitted seniors in New Jersey continue to fall, the next piece being Morris Tech senior [player_tooltip player_id='489441' first='Harper' last='Felch'], who committed to Academy of Art in late December.

Like clockwork, Felch has continued her success into this season in a big way, averaging 17.2 PPG through seven games played with the Devils. That's right on track with her scoring average as a junior, and we're just expecting the scoring train to keep on rolling. An unquestionable leader on her team, Felch is going to bring that with her to the next level, no doubt.

[player_tooltip player_id='325193' first='Jaylyn' last='Orefice'] - Union City (2024) commits to Caldwell

Already an 1,000 point scorer, Union City senior [player_tooltip player_id='325193' first='Jaylyn' last='Orefice'] in mid-December committed to Caldwell University to continue her basketball career at the next level.

This is beyond well-deserving for her, one of the better players in this senior class in New Jersey and a mainstay for Union City while there. She's coming off a career year as a junior and is already averaging 15.8/6.6/3.2 as a senior, upping her assists per game, which has been nice to see, while continuing to be effective in all aspects on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='404449' first='Cadence' last='Anderson'] - Palmyra (2024) commits to Elizabethtown College

The lone player from South Jersey mentioned in this story, Palmyra senior [player_tooltip player_id='404449' first='Cadence' last='Anderson'] will be continuing her career at Division III school Elizabethtown College after committing in mid-December.

Her impact for Palmyra has been immeasurable and we can trace that back just to this season as she's averaging well over 20 points a game for the Panthers, knocking down nearly two three-pointers a game in the process. Arguably one of the best players in program history, she's deservingly getting her shot in college.
