Divina Williams

Williams made some really tough plays and came up with big 50/50 balls, well-timed buckets, and some scrappy defensive plays against Eastlake. She showed some glimpses of offensive potential, creating separation in spots to open up both shot and passing lanes, and sinking a few tough shots in the paint, but really stood out for hustle plays and defensive toughness.

The sophomore was cash money when spotting up in the corner, nailing at least three maybe four 3s on the night. She has a real high arching shot and was ready shoot any time she lined up behind the arc. She made a couple of good defensive plays too but mainly left her mark as a floor spacer.
Wood provided a nice balance of shooting and physicality against Emerald Ridge. She’s someone who’s willing to bang inside for tough buckets and rebounds, but she was also a threat outside the paint and provided some consistent shooting from midrange out to three. She doesn’t have intimidating size but was still a tone-setter with her toughness around the hoop.
The sophomore guard showed she can score from each level, burying a couple 3s, nailing some shots from the midrange, and using a good crossover to ditch her defender and get to the hoop. She finished well with both hands inside and came up with some timely buckets in a defensive battle.
Williams is a sparkplug guard who took a little time to get going but showed off an advanced ability to break down her defender on the perimeter and create a lot of action going toward the rim. She hit a nice floater and started drawing more fouls as the game went on. The sophomore guard was also a high energy player on the defensive end and has the quickness to be a factor on both ends.
