First, let’s start with Maryville vs Bearden. Bearden won in overtime 57-52. Natalya Hodge Natalya Hodge 5'7" | CG Bearden | 2026 State TN continues to prove why she is a power 5 college basketball player! Hodge finished with 34 on the night. Aisha Patel Aisha Patel 6'0" | PF Bearden | 2025 State TN was great on both ends of the court. Patel hit numerous back to back 3’s and showed off her tremendous footwork on the low block to add to her scoring. Kendall Murphy finished with 8 points on another great defensive night. Lainey Cox is another one to mention when talking about this impressive Bearden team tonight. Cox continues to block shots and add to her deflections column on defense. What is even more impressive when it comes to Lainey Cox is the fact that she is usually outsized as a small forward. Don’t tell Lainey that though because she plays so much taller than her size. A good physical defender that truly impacts the game for the Bearden team! Maryville was led by Zoee Harrison Zoee Harrison 5'6" | PG Maryville | 2026 State TN and Jada Edwards Jada Edwards 5'10" | SF Maryville | 2024 State TN . Harrison continues to put up big numbers against tough competition. Zoee is a young combo guard that you want to have on your radar right now. Unofficial stats had Edwards finishing with 23 points and numerous rebounds. I’ll reiterate that Freed Hardeman is getting a good one!
Stone Memorial won a great one against a tough White County team. Stone Memorial 51-48!
White County has the twin towers. That is exactly what they have in a powerful duo with Ava Jones & Celeste Reed Celeste Reed 5'11" | C White Co. | 2024 State TN ! Ava continues to be phenomenal on the basketball court! Jones is one of the best post players in our state. Ava continued to impress by finishing strong at the rim with either hand. Jones can also step out and knock down the 3 ball! Jones and Reed are two of the best rebounders that you will find! Jones has back to back performances in district play with over 20 points and numerous rebounds!
Stone Memorial is led by standout point guard Adison Howard Adison Howard 5'8" | PG Stone Memorial | 2025 State TN ! Howard is truly a consistent point guard with an extremely high IQ. One of the savviest ball players on the court at all times! Adison is one of the best facilitators that you will find in our state too. I’ve talked about her court vision numerous times & her court vision remained great against White County! Howard is one of my favorite point guards to watch! Adison is going to continue to help her team win games!
Kortney Headrick Kortney Headrick 6'0" | SF Stone Memorial | 2025 TN was stellar on the night! She truly did her job in the post! Headrick was automatic at the free throw line too! Kortney led her Stone Memorial team in scoring with 19 points on the night.
Keep your eyes on all 4 of these teams! These teams will continue to be impressive throughout the second half of the season!
