Celeste Reed Celeste Reed 5'11" | C White Co. | 2024 State TN was named 3A Miss Basketball, but way before that announcement, she had skyrocketed up our ranking well before that. She’s a grinder that never stopped pouring work into her game over the last 4 years, and is proof positive that the secret to being great is simply that there is no great secret:  just work.

She was the best player on (what I thought) was the best 3A regular season team in the state.  She was their “go-to” interior scorer in the biggest of games, and her coaches and teammates trusted her without hesitation.

On the same day that she was announced a Miss Basketball candidate, Reed gave a performance that solidified that her nomination was a correct one.  She put White County on her back on her way to a double double (22 points/10 rebounds), and faced constant defensive harrasment as several White County players were in foul trouble.  Ava Jones Ava Jones 6'1" | PF Hutchison | 2026 State TN , for example, fouled out.  And Celeste stayed solid….played smart…and came away with a big win.

Reed also flashed some high-level vision and passing late on few crucial possessions, as she felt the D coming, and hit back side cutters for easy layups.  She flashed a bit of everything on Thursday night.

Reed is averaging nearly 17 a game for a White County team that is simply looking dominant.  Reed is perhaps the teams best overall player and scoring. She’s been a double-double machine all season, but for the sake of this exercise we are focusing on her scoring:  she’s averaging 17 while facing constant doubles and digs….and is shooting 55% from the field.  Reed is a have a beast of a season.

Reed got in foul trouble early, but still managed to finish with an easy double -double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.  With Reed playing strong

Reed continues to put up impressive numbers! One of the few post players that can grab a board and explode coast to coast! The uncommitted senior should continue to garner interest at the next level! Celeste is great on the low block and finishing at the rim! I can think of a few words to describe Reed and one of them is dominate! Celeste continues to dominate anyone in the post!

Reed is a walking double-double! This one is averaging over 15 points and 10 rebounds a game! If college coaches are waiting to pull the trigger on Celeste, we are telling you now to stop waiting! Celeste is extremely strong on the low block! Reed can also go coast to coast with a head of steam after she pulls down the board. The intensity that Reed plays with is unmatched! I love watching this one play because she truly provides her team with whatever it takes to win ball games! Put all of her stats aside and she is still finding ways to impact a game! Whoever lands Reed at the next level is getting one heck of a good basketball player!!!
