Tomorrow, we're starting rankings updates, starting with the 2027 class. Today, I want to take some time to highlight some talented seniors who haven't announced where their next step will be if they want to play in college yet.

[player_tooltip player_id='209604' first='Ellie' last='Demet']

Demet's adapts to the situations in Watertown's program over the past year has been admirable. She had to play a role due to an injury to a teammate she'd never played, and impressed. I've also heard about how much work she puts into improving her game on her own time, and I believe it. She's also one of the best "tough-shot makers" in the state, and she has been for a while. Once she gets into games with a shot clock, she'll manufacture points when nobody else can win games for a team. As a person and a player, I'd recommend her to small school programs.

[player_tooltip player_id='498932' first='Ava' last='C Hanson']

I see Hanson being a solid WIAC player if she wants to play at the next level. Her versatility to score on either block or step out and knock down perimeter jumpers will lead to mismatch issues for teams at the next level. She's a solid athlete at 6-0 tall and can move well laterally on the perimeter to defend guards. Having a kid who can do as much as she can at her size is never a negative.

[player_tooltip player_id='618804' first='Maddie' last='Schopf']

I can't think of many people I'd want to shoot high-pressure shots in games than [player_tooltip player_id='618804' first='Maddie' last='Schopf']. She may not be the biggest name in the state, but she's hit massive shots over the past three seasons. I had a conversation with someone earlier in the year about a rough-shooting night she had when she took about 15, and I said, "If [player_tooltip player_id='618804' first='Maddie' last='Schopf'] takes 15 threes, I'd assume she's making 11 or 12." In games to seal the conference last season, she hit massive shots. At the Resch Center, she's made shots. If she wants to play in college, she'll keep making shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='444782' first='Payton' last='Grenzer']

Grenzer may be the best traditional five left on the board. She has size at 6-2, plays physically around the rim, finishes with both hands and can defend in the post without fouling. She uses her body to shield defenders from the ball and box out well and has enough power to seal with some force. Her ability to dominate in the painted area is valuable.
