You could tell things are starting to heat up as clubs begin to compete against rilavrlg opponents and district foes. True hardwood battles are in full effect as teams try and climb the standings and position themselves for district tournament play.
On Tuesday night we saw some young ladies scorch the nets as they competed. You talking about girls ready to turn it up a notch, these girls did just that. They put their teams on their backs and carried them into victory. From personal player stocks to school bragging rights, this is the time of the year when basketball gets really good.

Amani Lipscomb Amani Lipscomb 5'2" | PG Houston | 2024 State TN (Sr./ PG/ Houston) -Ms. Lipscomb has a night , stepping up for her club in a big way. She was super tough to deal with, dropping 29 points and bringing the heat for her club. She was amazing on offense, but it was her D that stood out. She got 11 steals, topping off an impressive double-double effort. She is playing with a lot of confidence and look for her to continue on the dominating trend as Houston takes on other district opponents. Solid kid who is primed and ready to make even more noise come tournament time .
Carrington Jones Carrington Jones 5'8" | CG Bartlett | 2024 State TN ( Sr./G/ Bartlett)– The University of Auburn- Montgomery commit was on it Tuesday night. She hit 21 points, but her play throughout the night gave her opponent fits. She was active on the boards , she locked up on D, she was winning the 50/50 wars when it came to jump balls and any loose ball opportunities. She’s a hustler who gives so much energy. She sets the tone for her team with her style of play. Look for Ms. Jones to finish out her senior season strong and help Bartlett reach “The Glass House” once again.
Dacarra Ward Dacarra Ward 6'2" | C Bartlett | 2025 State TN (Jr./C/ Bartlett)-she’s playing with confidence and she’s taking advantage of the on court time she is getting. Dacarra was big in the paint , displaying nice back to the basket moves, finishes through contact. She was big on the boards, outletting to guards so they could get it and go to start their transition breaks. Look for her to continue to stack performance like this and contribute big for the Lady Panthers ball club.
Carlyn Burdette Carlyn Burdette 6'1" | PF Collierville | 2024 State TN (Jr./ F/ Collierville)– Though her team lost, she was the leading catalyst who brought it for her ball club. She hit a few clutch 3s, finished around the paint, and contributed on the defensive end by getting rebounds. This multi-level scoring threat has a high basketball IQ. You better believe come next match-up, she and her Lady Dragons will be ready to change the outcome. CB is a solid prospect who has great size and tons of potential .
Saaphyri Thompson (Jr./G/ Power Center Academy)– She was on fire Tuesday night, dropping 19 points. From 3, getting to the paint, Ms. Thompson was scoring it any and every type of way. She contributed on the defensive end, locking up her opponent, disrupting her opponent’s tempo. She brought the energy and the juice, which enabled her team to play loose and freely. Look for Power Center Academy to make a run and compete for something bigger down the stretch.
Aysa Woods (Sr./ SG/ Bluff City )– she brought the juice dropping 16 points against her opponent. Her game was clicking on all cylinders as her shot found the bottom of the net consistently. She knifed through defense, finished at the rim, and created havoc on the defensive end. Look for Ms. Woods to help her ball club stack wins and position themselves for a good seed come district play.
