Here, I take a look at a few standout players from the contest.

[player_tooltip player_id='639496' first='LaToya' last='Brooks'] Williams Field

Brooks is the unquestioned leader of her team. She led by example, as she was active on both ends of the floor. She's an athletic slasher on the offensive end and showed a quick first step. On defense, she was on the floor for loose balls and rebounded very well.

[player_tooltip player_id='608450' first='Jaila' last='Flowers'] Canyon View

This was Flowers first game back from an injury sustained last year. She willed her way into the paint and repeatedly finished through contact. Even when the other team knew she was getting the ball, they couldn't stop her. Once she gets back in game shape, she will be even more of a terror.

[player_tooltip player_id='835770' first='Sophia' last='Carnes'] Williams Field

Carnes is a nice point guard who showed good ball handling ability and very good court vision. Even though her shots weren't falling a lot, she came up clutch with a big three late in the game for the Black Hawks. She has very nice form on her perimeter shot and gets it off with ease.

[player_tooltip player_id='837399' first='Mackenzie' last='Pope'] Canyon View

Pope is a tough point guard who is scrappy on both ends of the court. She is a good ball handler and has a burst in the open court. On defense, she sits down and makes it tough on the player she's guarding to get comfortable. Her active hands-on defense caused a few turnovers.
