Here's part 2 of my preview of players from the 6A conference who could be difference-makers for their team during the playoffs. In part 1 I focused on the 6A Central and players in the class of 2024. In this article, I will discuss players from the 6A West. Click HERE to read the article on the players from the 6A Central. Keep reading to learn more about the players from the 6A West.

[player_tooltip player_id='876337' first='Kiaya' last='McCoy'] | Guard | Springdale | 2026

Kaiya is an athlete who is a valuable asset to her team. She's a "hard-nosed player" who's not afraid to get physical and put in the effort required to excel on the court. Her defensive skills, highlighted by her willingness to guard any opponent, can be a game-changer, especially in tight matchups where every possession counts. Her speed and quickness, as well as her three-point shooting, add another dimension to her game. If McCoy can bring this level of intensity, skill, and determination consistently, she indeed has the potential to be a difference-maker for Springdale's team.

[player_tooltip player_id='875494' first='Maiesha' last='Washington'] | Forward | Fayetteville | 2025

Maiesha is a versatile and impactful player for Fayetteville's team. Standing at 6'1", her height gives her an advantage both defensively and offensively, allowing her to defend against post players as well as some wing players. On the offensive end, Washington's scoring threat from both the low block and the perimeter makes her a dynamic threat. Given her size and all-around skills, Washington has the potential to be a significant difference-maker for Fayetteville. Washington's impact on the game on both ends of the floor is instrumental in determining how Fayetteville can go in the state tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1091142' first='Myah' last='Haney'] | Forward | Har-Ber | 2027

Myah is a valuable asset for the Har-Ber team. Her ability to bring intensity and energy to the court can be crucial in providing a spark for her team, especially during pivotal moments in games. Her willingness to contribute on both ends of the floor and her capability to score when needed make her a reliable option off the bench. Players like Myah often play significant roles in the success of a team, as they provide depth and support to the starting lineup. Myah has shown improvement since earlier in the season. This growth indicates that she's capable of rising to the occasion, especially in high-pressure situations like the state tournament. Myah has a great opportunity to make a difference for her team in the state tournament, and her contributions could be instrumental in Har-Ber's success.

[player_tooltip player_id='875508' first='Hazley' last='Grotjohn'] | Guard | Northside | 2025

Hazley is a dynamic and impactful player for the Northside team. With a 1k point scorer label, it's evident that she's a prolific scorer who commands attention from opposing defenses. Her ability to score in various ways makes her a versatile offensive threat, capable of stretching the floor with her three-point shooting, breaking down defenses off the dribble, finishing in traffic, and excelling in transition play. Hazley's willingness to contribute and her high level of effort and energy on the defensive end make her a valuable asset. Her fearlessness in defending, whether it's guarding the ball or playing passing lanes, shows her commitment to making an impact on both ends of the floor. As Northside vies for the 6A state championship, Grotjohn's play could indeed be a determining factor in their success. If she continues to showcase her scoring ability and defensive ability, Northside's chances of finishing the year as state champions will undoubtedly increase.
