First, the kid rebounds at an extremely high level for a guard. She defends her tail off. And, she’s turning into a high level shot maker right in front of our eyes. She exploded on Monday night for 29 points, and 8 threes (breaking her own school record).
My advice to kids is become really great at a couple things….and then build your game off of, and around, your strengths. Holt has done that.

The freshman standout from Tellico went off on Monday night against Sweetwater in a head to head match-up with fellow freshman standout Lilly Woodruff Lilly Woodruff 5’8″ | SG Sweetwater | 2027 TN . Reed finished with a career high 27, scoring on multiple levels, and playing with a non-stop motor and high level of shot making. Woodruff finished with another double double 18/10 as she continues to be one of the best freshman in the Knoxville area. Tellico won this one in a rout, and the two teams will face off again on Tuesday night.
The 5’8 senior has played terrific basketball as of late, and she combined with freshman star Addie Wilhoit Addie Wilhoit 5’8″ | SG Tennessee | 2027 TN to scored 41 points in a win over Unicoi. Kinch knocked down three 3s, as did Wilhoit, and if these two guards can continue to develop a nice chemistry together, its going to make them a tough out in the district tourney.

The 6’1 center has really come on as of late, and helped lead Elizabethton past Science Hill on Monday. On a night that sophomore sensation Michelle Shields Michelle Shields 5’10” | PG Elizabethon | 2026 State TN was held to only 8, it was Smalls’ double double (11 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 blocks) that really set the tone for the Lady Cyclones as they continue to win big games.

Eagleton (3-20) has struggled this year as it to be expected from a young program. There have been some really bright spots, however, and perhaps none more brighter than sophomore Avery Lindsey scoring a career high 22 (including 14 in the 2nd half) as Eaglton lost in overtime to a good Maryville Christian team.
Hagen Kirkpatrick had a really nice game for Maryville Christian with 10 points.
