The 5’10 athlete scored led the way, scoring 25 points in the second round of the tournament to go along with 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals. This is after a jaw-dropping freshman season averaging 21.4 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 4.9 steals per game that is likely to earn her 1A state player of the year honors come season’s end. She and #1-seeded Crane are the heavy favorites to come away with a state title next weekend.
Jayda Cant
Jayda Cant
Junior Jayda Cant had a big-time performance in Imbler’s hard-fought second-round game, an overtime win on the road, with 14 points and 8 rebounds. She has been one of the key contributors for the Panthers all season long in multiple statistical categories, using her height and length to her advantage. Her play will be a huge difference-maker this weekend. She and Imbler have a tough first matchup in Baker City against top-seeded Crane, but the future is very bright for this team that has zero seniors on the roster.
Brooklyn Cyr Brooklyn Cyr 5’3″ | PG North Douglas | 2025 State OR is one of the top guard talents in all of 1A, and the junior’s abilities will be on full display this weekend. She is putting up incredible numbers this season with 16.4 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.5 steals per game. Her performances in the two state tournament have been even more impressive. An elite shooter, Cyr knocked down six 3-pointers in the opening round to finish with 26 points, and followed that up with 24 points in the second round. She and second-ranked North Douglas came the closest to defeating Crane this season and are the biggest hope to knock off the undefeated Mustangs.

Jodi Bingham
With all-league awards being released, Jodi Bingham was named the co-player of the year in the Old Oregon League for her excellent play all season. The senior shooting forward earned the honor for averaging 10 points on the year while making such a constant impact on the floor in all manners of ways for the Badgers. Her leadership and high IQ of the game are quite obvious from the moment she steps foot on the floor. With her on their team, sixth-seeded Powder Valley has all of the tools to really mix things up in Baker City next weekend as they look to extend their 13-game win streak.
Lilly Garfield
Lilly Garfield
Lilly Garfield has been the rock of Country Christian’s squad all season long, and that will only continue next weekend. She led the way with 14 points in the the Cougars’ most recent game of the state tournament, and has been averaging 14 points and 9 rebounds all year, earning her first team all-league honors in the Valley 10 League. Standing at 5’10, the Cougars will rely on her size and power as they take on a very talented St. Paul team with some serious size in the first game in Baker City.
