Cream Of The Crop-Late Season Review

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We're nearly through this 2023/24 season. I've traveled over half of the state to view some excellent basketball. During those games I've identified student/athletes that have proven to me to be on a list considered to be the best in the state. This is the second piece of an earlier article, Cream of The Crop-Early Season Review, dated December 23, 2023, identifying the best players that I've seen this season. Their individual games are a cut above. Below is a list of players that are my late season "Cream of the Crop" candidate's:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='402861' first='Anna' last='Trusty'] 6'1" SG 2024 Greenwood H.S. Greenwood-</strong>Anna is the Bulldog's "go to player". A leader on and off the court. She is a mis-match at the guard position. Leading her team in almost every statistic, Anna will lead Greenwood in defending it's 5A State Title. She is a University of Tulsa signee.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='307198' first='Taleigha' last='Ealy'] 6'0" F, 2024 Russellville H.S. Russellville-</strong>Taleigha has an excellent basketball IQ. Her anticipation skills are next to none. She displays a leadership role on the floor and can hit that 10ft jumper or drive the lane. She's strong and has the size to post-up her opponent. Taleigha is willing to share the ball and is a very unselfish player.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='465493' first='Sidni' last='Middleton']-5'9" SG, 2025 Vilonia H.S. Vilonia-</strong>She is as strong as anyone on the court. Sidni plays much bigger than her size. She's a leader on this Eagles squad even as a junior. Defensively she gets the toughest assignment and is always one of the best players on the court.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='453166' first='Carley' last='Sexton']-5'6" SG, 2024 Greenwood H.S. Greenwood-</strong>Carley is probably one of the smartest players I've seen play. She's as tough mentally as she is physically. She is a cornerstone for this Bulldogs team and carries on a tradition of quality basketball in an excellent program. Look for her and her team to go deep in the postseason.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='420388' first='Jennifer' last='Hartman'] 5'11" SG, 2024 Morrilton H.S. </strong><b>Morrilton-</b>Jennifer is a solid all-around player. She's good at every aspect of the game. Her versatility is her strength. Solid a both ends of the court, she makes smart decisions at the right time and is a difficult matchup for opponents. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='465929' first='Cydney' last='Sanders']-5'9" PG, 2026 Baptist Prep H.S. Little Rock-</strong>I just keep coming back to the extraordinary skill-set of this young sophomore. She's solid! She's strong and her work ethic is at another level. Her leadership skills are as advanced as her game. Her knowledge of the game is top notch and her ceiling is high. She'll only get better!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>These exceptional athletes made my <strong>"Cream of the Crop"</strong> list of top players I've viewed this season.
