On January 30th Monarch Sports presented the Title IX Classic. This was a doubleheader consisting of four playoff teams. The second matchup was the host Hamilton Lady Huskies taking on the Millennium Lady Tigers. The Tigers came in undermanned missing multiple starters but that didn't stop them from fighting from the tip off. From the start of the game, Hamilton's size advantage was a major difference between the two teams. Add in some hot outside shooting and the Huskies took a large lead into the half. The 2nd half was pretty much the same as Hamilton continued to pull away and won convincingly. Hamilton has won 8 of its last 9 games as they continue to climb the rankings.

Here I look at a few of the standouts:

[player_tooltip player_id='624028' first='Taylor' last='Sipfle'] Hamilton

Taylor was a force from the get-go with her size. She hit multiple shots in the paint with defenders draped all over her. One of the good things she does is she keeps the ball high and away from smaller defenders.

[player_tooltip player_id='598978' first='Callie' last='Hinder'] Hamilton

CJ length has been a problem all season for opponents and in this game, it was no different. She has excellent timing on blocks and does a good job of not fouling. She alters many more shots than the stat sheet shows. She rebounded very well also as she kept the ball high and away from defenders attempting to steal the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='848293' first='Ryanne' last='Torres'] Millennium

Torres did a very good job of running the show and getting her teammates good looks. She was very composed and handled the defensive pressure well. She didn't shoot much but when she did, she displayed good form on her shot.

[player_tooltip player_id='205644' first='Reanna' last='Farrington'] Hamilton

The senior came out and looked like she was having fun. Her perimeter shot was falling from all three levels as she was tough to stop. On defense, she was all over the place getting steals and forcing tough shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='847462' first='Rihanna' last='Bland'] Millennium

Bland is a competitor and battled on both ends of the court. On defense, she was often matched up with taller players, but she held her own. On offense, she didn't shoot as well as normal, but she still was aggressive.
