These teams in the State Championship in Lakeland have played a lot of ball and the opposition, media, and scouts know all about the outstanding players and the star performers. In these type of games, it's not unusual for a star to emerge that no one was expecting to surface and have the game that puts their team over the top. Some of these players are well known, but have other players on their teams who have played on bigger stages and bigger expectations. In this article, we look at some of the prospects who could be the X-factors in the semifinals and finals of their respective classes.

[player_tooltip player_id='217663' first='Sydney' last='Roundtree'] could definitely be an X-factor in the tournament . She has the ability to change the game on the defensive end alone. Roundtree can defend all 5 position on the floor. Offensively, she can score on the blocks and in transition. She can also knock down the midrange and an occasional three. She is an exceptional athlete who can rebound the basketball with the best for them.

[player_tooltip player_id='862478' first='Isabelle' last='Dionisio'] comes off the bench ready to play and is always impactful in some way, whether it's handling the ball, making the assist, or making the timely three. Dionisio is reliable and has a high basketball IQ. She is automatic from the top of the key and finished the season with 19 threes. She is the type of player who could seize a moment like the playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='811751' first='Madi' last='Mignery'] could be the X- factor for her team. She has played well and has already received a major D-1 offer. She has upper classmen on the team who have been in a few more battles, but make no mistake about it - Mignery has been in a few battles her self. She has that energy and winner's attitude. She can score on the inside or outside and she can rebound the ball. Her skill set makes her a perfect candidate to be an X-Factor when it's all said and done.

[player_tooltip player_id='349440' first='Taylor' last='Perce'] could be the X-factor for Ponte Vedra. The Senior guard can shoot the three and she helps get her guards out of trouble with her ability to handle the ball. She can also drive the ball and score. The opponent will be out to stop the onslaught of threes from Gavazzi and Rosendahl, but Perce can shoot the three at a high rate. She connected on 26 threes this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='514550' first='Kendall' last='Perry'] (cover) could be an X-factor in the State playoffs. The Sophomore can do it all and is a calm customer on the basketball court. Perry can shoot it, defend the ball, and has elite playmaking abilities. She is a good rebounding guard, a good passer, and she knows how to put the ball in the basket. She has the tools to be the X-factor and “then some.”
