Kennedy Marshall
Kennedy Marshall
Edison wrapped up regular season play, completing their perfect record in district play. Kennedy Marshall has been fantastic over the past month and continued that trend this week. Kennedy put in 24 points and knocked down 4 threes. Kennedy is a sound defender and a terrific spot-up shooter, and she has played as well as anyone in the past few weeks.
Maureen Tremblay Maureen Tremblay 6'0" | PF Meridian | 2024 State VA
Maureen Tremblay Maureen Tremblay 6'0" | PF Meridian | 2024 State VA
If you want to talk about an underrated player, Meridian Forward Maureen Tremblay Maureen Tremblay 6’0″ | PF Meridian | 2024 State VA is as underrated as any player in the area. She is so complete and does everything for an excellent Meridian squad. She opened the week with a 15-point, 11-rebound, 10-assist game in a win over Skyline. Meridian had two pretty big blowouts to close the week, but the opening performance of the week, coupled with how good Maureen has been recently, forces me to shout her out.
Josie Willett
Josie Willett
Josie Willett started the week putting in a terrific performance in a victory over Liberty. Josie knocked down 3 threes and finished with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Josie had an excellent game against a great John Handley team on Wednesday and finished with a crucial 16 points in a close win over Millbrook. Josie is a fantastic spot-up shooter and had a great week.
Jill Humphreys
Jill Humphreys
West Potomac has a couple of players I like moving forward. Last week, I shouted out junior guard Olivia Jones Olivia Jones 5’3″ | PG West Potomac | 2025 VA ‘ big performance, and this week, I want to mention another junior Guard, Jill Humphreys. Jill had a tremendous game against Lake Braddock on Tuesday. She knocked down a couple of threes and turned the stifling West Potomac defense into offense. Jill finished with 22 points in West Potomac’s 40-point victory over Lake Braddock.
Elizabeth Barry Elizabeth Barry 5'9" | SF Robinson | 2024 State VA
Elizabeth Barry Elizabeth Barry 5'9" | SF Robinson | 2024 State VA
Elizabeth Barry Elizabeth Barry 5’9″ | SF Robinson | 2024 State VA had a great week and led Robinson to another undefeated week. Elizabeth has been fantastic all season, and she and Georgia Simonsen Georgia Simonsen 6’0″ | SF Robinson Seconday School | 2025 State VA have carried much of the team’s offensive load. In Robinson’s first win of the week, Elizabeth led all scorers with 10 points in a game with only 53 combined points. Elizabeth had an even bigger day in a razor-close win against West Potomac. She had 23 and knocked down a couple of threes. Elizabeth has been reliable all year for Robinson with her defense and shooting, and her performance helped Robinson end their incredible regular season on a high note.
Delainey Duggan
Delainey Duggan
Delainey Duggan has had a great Freshman season for Tuscarora. She has been Tusky’s second most productive player. I had a chance to watch her this week, and I was impressed. Delainey opened the week up leading Tuscarora in points in a win over Rock Ridge. She finished with 18 points and four assists. She also chipped in 12 in a win over a solid Loudoun Valley team. Delainey is a good passer and a mature offensive player for her age.
