Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
Sierra Thomas Sierra Thomas 6’0″ | PF Omaha North | 2026 State NE of Omaha South has some promise when it comes to this sport of Basketball. If she works on the correct things moving forward and stays dedicated to the game, she is going to be a promising talent on a collegiate floor one day. Thomas is a Small Forward with some decent size, long arms, and an act for getting her hands on the basketball. More times than not, she is making something out of nothing or scoring with her back to the basket out of the post-area. If she isn’t scoring, she is always rebounding hard, trying to give her team some second chance scoring opportunities. This season for Omaha South, Thomas was a constant. Someone that her team could rely on every night to make something happen. I’ll be on the road this Spring to watch Thomas and to see what she can do against some tougher competition. If it’s anything like this high school season, she is going to be just fine and sometimes, she will even thrive depending on the situation.
Highlights
The natural size and pure shooting ability of Sanai Foster Sanai Foster 6’2″ | PF Westside | 2026 State NE is the reason that her presence on the court grabs my attention right away. Foster stands at around 6’2, with a picture perfect shooting stroke from all over the floor. I wouldn’t say that she is jump shooter by any means but she definitely can let it go from within 15-ft and it usually looks pretty good when she does. Defensively, she can quickly change the outcome of a contest with her natural length and discipline to stay down. This is the type of prospect where the sky is the limit. If she stays motivated and is put in the right situations on the floor, NO ONE should be able to stop her and her mixture of size/skill. Plain and Simple. I’m not sure what her future is going to hold but for now, she is sitting in a nice spot moving into the future.
Arlington High School had a nice winter season and the main reason for that is because of the leadership of their starting PG, Emerson Timm Emerson Timm 5’6″ | PG Arlington | 2026 State NE . Timm is your ideal PG. She can handle, create, facilitate, control tempo, and run her teams offense to a T. She never seems to rush a decision, usually making the right choice for herself and her teammates when the ball is in her hands. During AAU season, Timm will lace up once against with ETG Midwest Elite 3SSB as her teams’ starting PG. If she can continue to put together another impressive Spring season, I’m sure there is going to be a handful of recruiters looking to get ahold of her as it pertains to her future on the hardwood. She checks a lot of boxes so far, now she just has to keep that up.
A’yanna Hill A’yanna Hill 5’7″ | SG Omaha North | 2026 State NE is one of the most impressive players I’ve seen out of this 2026 Class in Nebraska at the Guard position. Every season I see Hill take the floor, she gets better. She is cutting up the defense with her nasty handle, she is scoring in bunches from all over the floor, and she is getting the others around her involved at an impressive rate. That’s been a constant at the Varsity level for two season now and I just need to see it on the road during Spring ball. Competition level matters and when you’re putting up big numbers, it’s fun but not if your team loses a majority of those games. In most matchups I’ve seen, Hill’s team is usually outmatched but she still does a great job of holding her own as much as she can. I think that if you have her in the correct collegiate system, she could be an Elite type player. A program changing-type player. I still need to see something against better competition but you can’t knock her for putting up big numbers against the team’s she has to face. Whoever is put in front of her, she deals with and you have to respect that.
Yutan High School brought home their first ever State Title this winter and a big reason for that was due to the play of Mylee Tichota Mylee Tichota 5’10” | PG Yutan | 2026 State NE and company. Tichota led her team in the State Championship game in scoring with 19 and was named a First-Team All State Player while doing so because of her performances on their way to a Title. Tichota has skill and size. She is a prospect with length arms, a balanced shooting stroke, and the knowledge to never settle for a bad shot. Most of the time, defenders don’t have the natural size to stay with Tichota, giving her a physical advantage right from tip-off. Whenever she can, she isn’t afraid to take her mismatch into the post and go to work over someone who maybe smaller for an easy bucket. This Yutan team had a fantastic Winter this year and everyone should be proud but I’m sure they will be back in the same position next season, looking to repeat. Something that isn’t easy but it will be do-able when taking all factors into consideration. As for Tichota individually, her future is promising. If she continues to expand her game and become a little stronger, then everyone else better watch out.
