10 [player_tooltip player_id='384069' first='Ella' last='Giles'], Huntington, CG, 5-7, Jr. - Giles took a huge step forward in the mental side of her game this season. One year after an injury, she began to believe in herself and her well rounded skills on the basketball court. You really understood her potential when you watch her attack the basket with confidence. There's not a lot that is going to get in her way between the hoop and some harm. Defensively, Giles handled the task of guarding an opponent's best "sneaky" player. She stopped her assignment from an easy put back or she kept up with a faster opponent to stop their easy opportunities in the transition game.

9 Sadaya Jones, Morgantown, SF, 5-9, Jr. - Jones grew up a lot during the Mohigans' run to Charleston. And, I mean a lot. She went from a leader of a struggling Fairmont Senior team to a key piece of a Mohigan great that returned to the state tournament. The biggest reason she jumped into the top 10 this year was her leadership skills. She wasn't afraid to mix it up with her teammates or pull them together for a huddle. Did she say the right thing? Yes. Many times after a Jones pep talk, the Mohigans came out of it as a focused and more determined squad. Jones projects as a solid leader for any squad at the next level.

8 [player_tooltip player_id='384095' first='Kynna' last='Britton'], Sissonville, CG, 5-10, Jr. - Are you a defensive-minded coach keen on stockpiling as many good defenders on a team as you can get? Well if you are then look no further for your next recruit. Britton can guard every position on the floor, 1-5, and then some. She uses her big body to push around smaller defenders, and then she uses her quick hands and confidence in her help defense against bigger defenders. Oh, on the offensive side, she can score in bunches and isn't afraid to be the Indians' go-to scorer in crunch time or any time.

7 [player_tooltip player_id='388086' first='Haylen' last='Cook'], Linsly, PG, 5-9, Jr. - I have said it before and I will say it again - If you need a point guard on your team, go get [player_tooltip player_id='388086' first='Haylen' last='Cook']. You won't regret it. Cook and Woods are easily two of the best point guards in the state but for very different reasons. Cook appears more comfortable switching from PG to SG and back again. She shoots the ball with confidence and moves well without the basketball. She always moving to get a better shot. Defensively, she puts her length to good use to generate turnover and transition opportunities for her teammates and herself.

6 [player_tooltip player_id='342213' first='Ashlyne' last='(Lala) Woods'], PG, 5-6, Jr. - Woods knows how to play the point guard position as a facilitator and a scorer. Yes, indeed. The young lady can get you buckets or create for her teammates and she does it seamlessly. One of the best things about Woods is that she understands how her drives work and their effects another team. She knows she can get to the basket so she plays the game of pick-your-poison with her defender well. You can never guess what Woods may do when she starts down the lane, however you can be confident that the outcome will be points or a great shot for a teammate. If you are in search of a PG who understands the nuances of the position, then give Woods a look.

10 Ella Giles Ella Giles 5'7" | CG Spring Valley | 2025 State WV , Huntington, CG, 5-7, Jr.
