There was drama, buzzer beaters, fans, college coaches, familiar and unfamiliar prospects, and exciting moments at the Breslin Center for the girls’ state semi-finals and finals games. Of the many great players competing, these are the girls from D2 who displayed their best basketball on the biggest stage.
Isis Johnson Musah showed her pure scoring ability and athleticism at the Breslin center. She hit a wing 3 in the finals and finished full speed with elevation at the rim through contact. Isis used her length and quickness to force turnovers in both games and quickly outrace her opponents for layups. Isis has excellent balance to attack and rise up into her mid-range pull-up jumper. She played outstanding for the Pioneers on both ends, which ultimately ended in a Division Two title on Saturday.
