Ella Mason Ella Mason CG Negaunee | 2024 State MI made a statement about her pure scoring ability at the Breslin Center on Friday. Against elite and athletic Edison guards, she succeeded in burying five 3’s and scoring a game high 25 pts. Ella had the downhill quickness to drive through defenders and finish contested floaters in traffic. She showed excellent control stopping and pulling up to make shots in the mid-range. Ella was a pure scorer for Negaunee that will be exciting to follow next season with Michigan Tech.

Watching the Michigan Tech commit play is an absolute delight! Mason, an athletic guard, enjoys playing at a fast pace while still maintaining control. She remains composed and level-headed when under pressure, even when breaking a press. Mason is excellent at driving to the hoop and finishing despite physical contact. Additionally, she’s always ready to intercept passes and managed to come away with multiple steals during Thursday’s game.

Mason led her Negaunee team to the Regional Finals Game and a 22-5 record last season. She was a 2nd team selection on the Associated Press All-State team. She has a couple Division 2 offers. I see her having a huge Senior season and helping her team make another postseason run.
