D3 and D4 Regional Shout-outs!

Uses her length well and blocks! And Alyssa covers a lot of territory, making it more challenging for opponents to score inside. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kasie Lang- 2024, Fort Frye:</strong> Kasie does a solid job on defense- scrappy, and looks up the court quickly to attack on transition. No problem knocking down the 3! She ignites the fast breaks with her steals! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kianna O'Brien- 2024, Fort Frye: </strong>Quick, strong from outside. I love her defense! She's a pest! Offensively, she does damage taking the ball to the basket aggressively, and knocks down buckets from outside. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='316720' first='Emma' last='Sayre']- 2024, Portsmouth West: </strong> Whoever had the assignment of guarding [player_tooltip player_id='316720' first='Emma' last='Sayre'] during her high school career, likely needed the following day to recover! Her speed is another level! She is versatile, can play both in the paint and outside, crashes the boards, blocks shots with no problem, and is consistent from shooting the rock from outside. She can hit three's with ease, dribble penetrate to the basket, and cleans it up around the paint. And she has no problem going the length of the court with the rock and finishing. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Katie Strickland- 2024, Portsmouth Notre Dame: </strong>Strickland is powerful going to the basket- Her strength is a great asset to her game, particularly in rebounding. Katie is the type of player that can fill up several stat categories! Great court vision, and has no problem knocking down long shots! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='217345' first='Ashley' last='Mullet']- 2024, [program_tooltip program_id='712419' first='Berlin' last='Hiland']:</strong> Athletic, great attack mode to the basket, orchestrates the offense and transition game, provides emotional toughness defensively, and she simply knows how to win. Times her blocks perfectly! And she has so many options in how to score the ball- dribble penetration, mid- range jumpers, and no problem connecting behind the arc! And her decision making is strong- she knows when to push the ball and when to set up an offensive play. I love how she takes off after picking a pocket, and pull up for a 3! She can knock down the 3, post up on the block, pin her defender for the lob pass, connect from mid-range. And defensively, my goodness- her blocks, boards, and how she can cover so much ground!
