Continue ReadingAs we enter the Spring 2024 grassroots season, it is time to wrap up coverage for the Class of 2024. These Seniors have given us great memories over the past four years, and they are that last class who had to deal with the dreadfully inconsistent 2020-2021 COVID season. We finish with 250 players listed in the Class of 2024, including a Top-125, plus a watch list of another 125 prospects. This will be the last time we update rankings for the class, and below I have taken the time to highlight all of the combo guard prospects in this class we currently have listed. Below that is a look at a few who remain uncommitted, to the best of our knowledge.

TOP-5 UNCOMMITTED COMBO GUARDS:
3.
Samiyah Stout

, 2024, 5-7 CG, Elkhart H.S.
– Samiyah is a strong, athletic guard who spent much of the season recovering from a Summer 2023 ACL injury. She saw spot minutes late in the year, but she obviously is still working to get back to 100%. When healthy, she is explosive off the bounce, and she does a tremendous job of getting downhill and creating offense for herself or others. She also has the physical ability to be a high-level defender. A commitment could be coming very soon.

– Morgan had a very steady career, affecting the Varsity level since her Freshman year. She had another nice season as a Senior, helping the Lady Raiders to a Sectional title. She is a balanced scorer who can hit shots outside or get downhill, plus she can run offense. Unfortunately, while attending the Senior Top-60 Showcase a few weeks ago, Morgan injured her knee and is currently out for an undisclosed amount of time, however, she is still taking visits.

Heritage Christian | 2024

, 2024, 5-7 CG, Heritage Christian H.S.
– Mya transferred into Heritage Christian from Lawrence Central before her Junior year and was one of their top players almost immediately. She has a long, wiry frame, she’s a fairly smooth scorer off the dribble, and she does a nice job of getting to the basket or knocking down the pull-up jumper. She also showed a much better ability to run offense and find open teammates over the past 12-18 months. She is still weighing her options.
12.
Gabby Douglass

Anderson | 2024

, 2024, 5-6 CG, Anderson H.S.
– Gabby is a bit of a lesser-known on the recruiting trail because she didn’t play major grassroots basketball at any point. She is another very athletic prospect with tremendous burst, but she also has great stop-and-start ability, and she can change directions quickly. She sees the floor well and makes a lot of plays on pure physical talent, and she can get to the basket to score. With a little more skill development, she could be a steal.
13.
Elle Marble

Jeffersonville | 2024

IN
, 2024, 5-9 CG, Jeffersonville H.S.
– Ella has always been a very intriguing basketball prospect because she’s one of those kids who is sooo long, she looks taller than she is listed. She can handle and run offense efficiently, and she’s a nice change-of-direction attacker who can almost “slither” through gaps to get to the basket. She is also an effective defender, both on and off the ball. There is a good chance she has already chosen what she is doing after high school.
