Samiyah is one of the state’s better 2024 athletes around the perimeter. She can use a ball screen and get to the basket in one dribble, she has a quick second jump, and she rebounds her position well. She has broad shoulders, length, and athletic strength. She can defend multiple types of guards and wings, and she can defend effectively both on and off the ball. As she works to make her perimeter jumper more consistent, it will create more openings to attack the basket. When she can get downhill, she’s tough to stop.

Samiyah has always been an extremely talented athlete who can run and jump with the best of them in Indiana’s 2024 class. She has an athletically strong frame, nice length, and she makes a lot of plays on sheer talent that other girls just can’t make. Over the past 12-18 months, she has really worked to develop her all-around skillset. She sees the floor well, she can handle it and create, but the next step will be to add a consistent perimeter jump-shot. She can also become an elite defender.
