If you weren't in the top 50, who cares. Look, this state was littered with talent and we had a bunch of seniors who brought it on a nightly basis. These girls were the reason why their ball club excelled. I mean they brought it, no matter who the opponent or the venue. These kids were tough, resilient, and played the game the right way.

Now, when we rank kids, yes there is a number tied to them. However, that number doesn't equate to the value that the kid played for their team. A lot of the time, what a kid did special doesn't necessarily show up in the box scores. It could be anything such as leadership, making that extra effort play, you name it, that may get overlooked. See if you can follow my example. Let's say there is a pick and roll situation. Well the screener sets a fantastic pick to free the ball handler to get open. The ball handler shoots it, but it was the person setting the pick who enabled the ball handler to have a great look. So, like I said, the little things that don't show up in the box scores, we got a lot of them in this state and in this class.

Check out some kids who may not be ranked high, but was very important pieces to their team's success.

[player_tooltip player_id='625400' first='Kabria' last='Revels'] (5'8/Sr./F/Beech)- Fearless ball player who just competed her tail off. She drew the tough assignments of eliminating the other team's best player. She was selfless and did the little things that others may not do.She could score the rock from the mid range, around the rim, or from 3. But it was her ability to defend, grab loose balls, and create tough shots that stood out. Plays the game with a lot of energy and heart and she will be taking her talents to Milligan next year. They are getting one smart heady ball player.

[player_tooltip player_id='291009' first='Ambria' last='Ferkany'] (5'8/Sr./G/PCA)- A selfless ball player who can score it from all over, but picked her spots to exploit. Offensively she could feel it up, but it was her ability to see the floor to pass up a good shot for a great opportunity that sets her apart. It might have been to feed the post or hit the cutter on a backdoor, that selfless play was noticeable this season. When her team needed a bucket, she got it. I will say this, she did this countless times and that was to sacrifice her body. Speedy girl or big girl, Ambria was in the right spot at the right time to take a charge. Another solid prospect who will be attending Bethel University next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='406538' first='Annie' last='Gould'] (5'7/Sr./G/ Pope Prep)- Just a hustler who got after it. From defending to scoring to basically anything. It always seemed like Annie was a) in the right spot, b) doing whatever it took to propel her ball club. She would leave the game drenched in sweat by how hard she played. She did all the things, scoring, rebounding, getting steals, but she brought so much to the table such as communication and displaying leadership. This kid was a gamer and one heck of a teammate.

[player_tooltip player_id='326745' first='Natalie' last='White'] (5'6/Sr./G/CPA)- I gotta hand it to this kid, she is the ultimate teammate. First year starter, she was one of the most positive people out there. A sharpshooter from the arc, when she was hot, she was hard to stop. She contributed on the boards, played solid D, and ran the offense efficiently. But when it was her turn to get subbed out, this young lady through the pain, injury, whatever the case may be, would be cheering on her teammates as loud as possible. That right there stood out to me as a selfless individual.

[player_tooltip player_id='245374' first='Tishana' last='Moore'] (5'9/Sr./F/ Blackman)- Everyone knows who Dennis Rodman is. Well T is like him without all that flamboyant stuff. A ballplayer who just competes and is an absolute dawg on the floor. She doesn't mind guarding the best player, speedy player, the bigger player. Challenge accepted, let's go. She is on the boards, sets the hard picks, can finish from the mid-range and around the paint. She just wants to play ball and she carved out a phenomenal role for a solid Lady Blaze ball club and excelled in it. [player_tooltip player_id='245374' first='Tishana' last='Moore'] is a tough resilient kid who does the little things right.

[player_tooltip player_id='291047' first='Amy' last='Elliott'] (5'5/Sr./G/Franklin)- Big fan of hers because she is a true floor general. Sure she could score it, but running an offense efficiently and effectively is what she did. It wasn't about getting the glory with this young lady, she just wanted the opportunity to compete and win. She played with heart, played with poise, and was willing to do whatever it took to help out the ball team.
