During this process there were a handful of prospect that were not added, who should have been. Since then they have been updated in the system and marked to watch out for moving forward. Each one of these prospects has done a good job over their high school career’s at producing in one way or another. If you have a chance to step in and watch any of these players compete, do it. You won’t regret it.
Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
After watching this previous high school season, there is so much talent that needs to be talked about out of the State of Nebraska and someone who is going to try to make their mark moving forward is Kalaya Catron Kalaya Catron 5’4″ | CG Millard North | 2026 NE of Millard North. Catron is a Guard, who didn’t see the Varsity floor much last season because of how stacked her Varsity team really was. Moving forward, I have a feeling that the Mustangs will need Catron to produce if they want to be successful. She is a multi-sport athlete who is also a pretty good soccer prospect by the looks of it. If she is willing to work on her weaknesses and she gets a chance to shine over the next few seasons, I could see her putting it together and make it happen.

Emily Lovette Emily Lovette SG Millard West | 2027 NE and her Millard West High School program just put together one of the best seasons we have seen in a long time throughout the state. Lovette is a someone to know. She is going to be a prospect that MUST step up these next few seasons if her and her team want to win some games. They may of just put together a great Winter but they are going to be losing a bunch of Seniors that produced for them in big ways. This is going to leave a lot of opportunities in the future for someone to step up and Lovette is a part of that plan. Playing next to the Gessert sisters can be tough with how good they are but they also make the teammates around them better so we will just have to see how every adapts to the situation but there is a lot to like her looking toward this upcoming 2024-2025 season.
Jalei Wiliams is a prospect that has received attend from a handful of different collegiate programs up to this point but she won’t be satisfied. I would categorize Williams as a fast twitch Guard, that is very good in the open court. She has demonstrated the ability to score at will or she can pass after she creates space. Defensively, she is fiesty. She plays with a chip on her shoulder and an aggressive demeanor. This is only the start for Williams. She is going to be a prospect that brings in a lot of attention over the next year on the hardwood. I’m not sure where her head is at for playing at the next level but I’m sure she is going to have some options.
Another beast with the basketball, that can really string together a lot of positive possessions throughout a contest is Mckenzie James Mckenzie James 5’4″ | PG Omaha South | 2026 NE . James works hard and never gives up on possessions. She is someone that has a versatile like game, where she can move between several different Guard spot on the court during any given moment. It doesn’t matter where she is at, she is always going to shine and that has been proven. Whether she is taking the high school floor or the AAU travel scene, she makes her mark on a contest with her effort alone. Not even mentioning the skill side of her abilities. It’ll be fun to see where James can take things moving forward. She has some promise, she just needs to see working on her craft. Something that could be said for anyone trying to be their best.

Norfolk Catholic is another program that is going to be rebuilding these next few seasons. They have had a fantastic run these past four seasons but their main sources of production are leaving due to graduation so now it’s time for others to make their mark. A prospect that has shown some promise this past year is Skylar Indra Skylar Indra 5’10” | SF Norfolk | 2025 NE . Indra is a 5’10 CG/SF, who moves well for her size with active feet and quick hands. She has a soft touch around the rim with the knowledge of when to do what type of move against an opponent that is going to help her get a clean look at the rim. Like I said, this group has had a lot of production out of their Senior Class, if some of their Juniors can step up moving into this upcoming Winter, it’ll be interesting to see how things work out. I have a feeling that they are going to reload and be better than ever coming up here but there are so many factors that we have to take into consideration.
