Last weekend was the annual Shamrock Classic in Westfield, Indiana. Many of the top players and teams were in action, creating a lot of entertaining games. I was able to watch a lot of action all day Saturday, but I focused primarily on 2025s and 2026s. Below is a look at a handful of ladies who I felt really played well and helped themselves with their play at the event. We will have more follow-up articles throughout this weekend.

– This was my first viewing of Leonie in quite a while, and I was impressed with how much better she has gotten. She looked leaner and more explosive in general, was able to sit down and defend the ball better, plus she showed much greater versatility on offense. She has improved her handle and change-of-direction ability, and she has become a much better multilevel scorer. I think she’ll have a lot of nice small college interest this Spring.

– Joslyn had several really impressive moments throughout the two games of hers I was able to see. She’s another player who looked leaner, longer, and overall, more explosive. She is handling the ball quite a bit now, making plays off the bounce, but also running offense and getting it to open teammates. The fact that she’s now more of a true guard than a wing will really help her recruiting, plus she has always been an effective shooter/scorer.

– Vivian has dealt with her share of injuries throughout her career, but she was able to put in a full season this year for the Pirates. She has nice length, a wiry, athletic frame, and she plays with a motor. This Spring & Summer could be huge for her because of her lack of consistency just getting on the floor, and as she adjusts to the speed and physicality, look for her to improve quickly and draw quite a bit of small college interest.

S40
– I felt like Avah had a strong showing when I was able to see her. She has a really nice jump-shot and was able to bury shot after shot from both the perimeter and the mid-range. She is such a smooth player offensively, and she was huge for her team at times at that end of the floor. She didn’t quite get her older siblings’ size (brother is 6-5, sister is 6-1), but she is probably more well-rounded and better skilled when compared at this age.

, 2026, 6-1 F, OPS-Ankenbruck
– Alivia’s growth over the past couple of years has been fun to watch, and she’s still not done. She has gotten taller, a little stronger, and she has really worked to improve her skill. She is extremely long, and while she could use a bit more strength, she’s not afraid to be physical inside. What’s most impressive is her touch around the perimeter. As she gets stronger, she will need to play lower and more compact, especially defending the ball.

, 2026, 5-11 W/F, Lady Gym Rats Silver
– Indiah has a great opportunity this Spring & Summer to raise her stock, because while she played grassroots ball last year, the Sophomore year is bigger in terms of recruiting, plus being from the Hammond area, this should give her much greater exposure on a statewide level. She is a talented athlete, strong and physical, but she also has some ball skill and can knock down an open jumper when in rhythm. She’s a versatile defender as well.

– I had heard quite a bit about Miley, even seen her on film, but this was my first opportunity to watch her live. She is a really nice athlete, she has tremendous length, wiry strength, and she moves well in most directions. She has a nice mid-post to perimeter skillset, and if she commits herself over the next couple of years, she could become a full-time wing and greatly improve her recruiting. She is definitely one to keep an eye on.
