However, they weren’t the only athletes to shine and let their names be known. Let’s take a look at some of the other players who made an impact on the court for their teams starting with the paint protectors.
Rebecca Kaba started off the scoring in the game catching the pass as she cut to the block and scoring at the rim. She protected the basket on the other end showing off her ability to block some shots. She didn’t back down from contact, and she was feisty doing whatever it took to get rebounds on both ends.
Highlights
Creedon Arch
Creedon Arch
Creedon Arch seemed to be all over the court hustling back on defense grabbing steals in the paint, and she was certainly an offensive threat attacking the basket. She didn’t fall for fakes taking the ball away easily, and she knew how to weave in and out of her opponents pushing the ball up the court. Even as a guard, she made some nice plays getting to the paint and putting up her floaters.
Gracynn Gough does a lot of nice work in the paint flashing with her hands held high ready for the pass and bucket. She runs the floor well being ready for the pass in transition making her points count from the free throw line when needed. She can make three point plays the old fashioned way, or show off her range knocking it down from deep. She’s so tough in the paint being able to go against anyone.
Laila Lewis
Laila Lewis
Laila Lewis did a nice job protecting the paint blocking shots as guards tried to drive for some points. She seemed to always be flashing to the right spot getting the pass and bucket. She did a nice job blocking shots from even taller opponents. She didn’t need to be inside to score as she made her three point shooting show knocking down a big shot from the baseline.
Camryn Lee Camryn Lee 5’10” | SF Rolesville | 2025 State NC was tough on the block protecting the basket preventing her opponents from getting the pass inside. On offense, she made strong adjustments getting the shot up without backing down from contact. She did well reading the floor sliding into the gaps as her guard teammates attacked the paint being ready for the pass and bucket.
Zihanna Lightfoot had some nice moves in the paint going to work off the dribble, and she was a force grabbing rebounds for her team. She did a nice job plugging the paint stepping into help defense preventing her opponents from getting points at the rim. She scored off of offensive rebounds, too, being ready to put the ball right back up for her own points.
