Tessa Brooks
Tessa Brooks
Tessa played the game with good energy and despite a tough loss in the regional semis to Purcell Marian, she did show me a solid game with a year left to get better. She did a nice job with the ball under pressure, showed strong handles and could work her way through traffic.
Adia did she really nice things when she was on the floor last week in their regional game against Versailles. She has great moves at the rim and she makes good decisions with the ball. Also able to play solid on ball defense. She is a smart heady player with a good basketball IQ and brings good leadership to the table.
I can remember when she was just stepping on the floor for the first time as a varsity player last year, and it really seems like her game is just constantly improving. She’s gaining confidence and as a sophomore, she has good leadership qualities which transcends into opportunities for her team. Can play a physical style, she’s the quarterback that you need on the floor.
She is still learning the game as a freshman, but she has an excellent skill set for somebody who has only played one year of varsity basketball. She has good handles in the open court and is able to score in transition. I look for her game to continue to grow as she matures. Smooth game and a smart player.
Madison Shatto
Madison Shatto
If you are playing varsity for this program, you have some talent! I expect her to prove to be very good in the future. She has an excellent three-point shot, and she plays with confidence while she is still learning the game. She was very effective in the two tournament games that I have seen. Big ceiling ahead for Madison once she matures and gains the needed experience to add to her game.
This baller had me sold the very first time I saw her play earlier in the tournament. Hazel has made a name for herself with solid play this season, especially in the postseason. She really came on strong and is a solid active player who works hard on the fence and can pressure the ball with her length and athletic ability. Also will knock down the perimeter shot. She can be special.
Celeste Borchers
Celeste Borchers
Youth is served at Russia with two outstanding freshmen Francis and Borchers, providing incredible poise for this team, who really came on strong late in the year. Celeste has a smooth jumper from the perimeter, and I predict with a big summer ahead she will blossom into one of the better 2027s in this region. Time will tell, but she has a good pedigree and work ethic
