Getting to the 400 point mark is such an elusive mark to hit over the course of a high school basketball season. In the Hudson County Interscholastic Athletic League (HCIAL) and Colonial Valley Conference (CVC), that was no different as this article will highlight the top scorers from both from last season to hit that point-scoring threshold.

[player_tooltip player_id='414293' first='Jaida' last='Guerra'] - Union City (2025)

Union City's leading scorer had herself one hell of a junior year, much the same as her production as a sophomore. Barely crossing the 1000 point mark in her career, Guerra averaged 17.6 PPG, 2.2 RPG and 2.5 APG in 27 games along with career highs in steals per game (3.2) and made three-pointers (74 & 2.7 per game). Her growth as an overall player just seemed to skyrocket this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='325193' first='Jaylyn' last='Orefice'] - Union City (2024)

Orefice had shown she could shoot the three over the past two seasons with Union City, but it was her senior year where we saw things blossom. All she did was knock down 61 in 31 games, scoring a career-high 16.4 PPG along with more than 5.2 rebounds per game and nearly three assists per game. She had already proven she was a fantastic scorer, but this took it to an entirely new level of impressive.

[player_tooltip player_id='414298' first='Alyssa' last='Stridiron'] - St. Dominic (2025)

Talking about growth and development of players, Stridiron certainly benefitted from a strong summer between workouts and AAU ball. As we've already discussed with breakout players, she was no different, but arguably even more impressive, averaging 19 PPG in 26 games with a career-high 32 made three-pointers, just over 1.2 per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='588004' first='Natalie' last='Fonseca'] - Ferris (2024)

It's not surprising that this list is a very senior-heavy list knowing the quality of talent that exists with New Jersey's robust senior class. Also, more experience usually leads to more success, as we saw with Fonseca this season, scoring more points as a senior than her previous two seasons combined. What a season for the guard, averaging 19.1 PPG with 11 games with 20 or more points.

[player_tooltip player_id='325190' first='Abby' last='Misier'] - Hightstown (2024)

You simply couldn't ask for more out of Hightstown's standout senior. [player_tooltip player_id='325190' first='Abby' last='Misier'] was advertised and then some, putting on a spectacular display of basketball as a senior, averaging an insane 23.6 PPG and 13.6 RRG in 30 games with 25 double-doubles. She not only averaged a double-double over a full season for the third-straight year, crossing 1,500 points and 1000 rebounds, but she averaged 2.9 blocks per game as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='325195' first='Rhian' last='Stokes'] - Ewing (2024)

If you talk about the CVC, you're going to find a way to talk about Ewing's three-headed monster, who ended their high school careers with a flourish of success. Stokes was magnificent on the floor as a senior, averaging 15.9 PPG, 6.5 RPG and 5.6 APG as the Blue Devils won their first state title in 25 years. A future college star, she finished with nearly 1,800 career points and 143 made three-pointers.

[player_tooltip player_id='406940' first='Te'Yala' last='Delfosse'] - Ewing (2024)

Before Delfosse was on her way to Ann Arbor to play at Michigan, she needed to capture a state title first. She did so with a massive senior season where she averaged 18.9 PPG, 8.3 RPG and 2.1 APG with more than 120 steals and 40 made three-pointers. As she's gone on through Ewing, she's developed quite the knack for scoring and has been a great three-point shooter, two trends to keep an eye out on moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='325184' first='Joi' last='Johnson'] - Ewing (2024)

We head to the last of Ewing's three-headed monster, a future college standout in [player_tooltip player_id='325184' first='Joi' last='Johnson']. As we said with both Delfosse and Stokes, what a season for the senior, averaging 14.3 PPG and 9.3 RPG in 32 games, coinciding in a state title. She became part of the 1000 point, 1000 rebound club and posted 13 double-doubles over the course of the season as well as seven 20-point performances.

[player_tooltip player_id='600913' first='Ava' last='Aldarelli'] - Robbinsville (2026)

Aldarelli was the lone 'outsider', if you even want to call her that, in terms of the top scorers from the CVC, the lone non-senior as well. The sophomore is going to be a bright spot for Robbinsville for the news two seasons after what she was able to accomplish this season, averaging 16 PPG and 8 RPG over 27 games, knocking down 23 three-pointers in the process. Definitely has potential to become an elite-level sharp-shooter.
